Well now that we know about both of the new ranges Andy is putting out. The question is which one do you like best and which one are you going to collect. Personally I am impressed by both. As a kid I remember watching both the John Wayne version of the Alamo and the Wonderful World of Disney version and loved them both.

Still the fact is that one of my first toys was a castle with horde of Britains plastic knights to fight over it. I just never have recovered from my love affair with those cool knights. So the nod for me will be the Medieval Knights. Of course it does not hurt that I am right now reading a great book on the First Crusade by Thomas Asbridge.

Of course the real question is how in the world am I going to be able to afford these guys. I still have so many Napoleonic soldiers to collect and I have not yet bought any of the new WWII Africa sets. What is a man to do? Maybe the family would be willing to go on half rations….perhaps not.

Well let the great debate begin. Let me know which sets you like best and are you going to actual spend that hard earned cash on some. I know I will.

Well by nature i am a world war 2 kinda guy,but i have to say i am really tempted by those Crusaders.I also am interested in collecting Napoleonics, but having spent thousands on ww2 stuff i am wary of branching off and not being able to afford to do both properly. The Alamo stuff looks good but does not appeal so much to me,but if KC ever did the "Wild west"then i'm there!

I still favor wwll and Rev War stuff but I see crusaders coming into my castle. Leadmen

I favor the WWII stuff but will soon get into the Alamo stuff.

I recently sold my construction diecast collect (200+ vehicles and pieces of equipment), for a nice profit as most were retired Cat. I was then able to catch-up on all of the available WWII series sets. So I am pretty well set in WWII.

I just received the newest Napoleonic's and a couple dozen duplicates of some already released sets to add to my diorama so I am pretty well set in Napoleonics.

I have been tempted by the Egyptians and on several occassions even had a shopping cart full of them when I got distracted by WWII sets. One of these days.....

I am already thinking of castles and moats so the middle ages are next..

I too am tempted by the Egyptians. Oh Fate! Oh Cruel Mistress! Have not taken the plunge, but ooh so close. Like the Alamo series, great way to get more french figures for repainting:eek: Napoleonics? Now we're talking!

Gentle Friends,

I must stay away from both lines! I must stay away from both lines! I must stay away from both lines. But,...it is difficult to resist the Crusaders. But, then again, it is difficult to resist the Alamo. I think I will just go into a coma and avoid the whole thing! :)

Warmest personal regards,

Pat

WWII, SOHK, Egyptians, Barbarians, Romans, American Revolution, Alamo, Crusaders... New or old, no matter. At the exception of the Napoleonics and the D-Day serie, I collect all of them. Accordingly, I have few money for NMA and HB for not telling none. Mr. Neilson knows what he's doing.

Pierre.

Until Andy announced the Crusaders, I would have never thought about them but it's tempting.

If I ever file for bankruptcy, I will be listing Andy as one of my creditors

I am really tempted by the Napoleonics and i would love to form a British square with K&C soldiers, however i think it would finally tip me into financial ruin. And i can't sell the cat cos the wife will notice sooner or later!!
