So, which ones strike your fancy? Feel free to comment with other ideas. Please don't pick all the choices, only your top few.
Thanks,

None. Also why is this a public poll? I'm not sure I see the necessity for that.

Would love to see several of these beginning with the Crimean War Some Russian Hussars and Cossacks etc. Franco Prussian War would be good as well but these would be best for me in Gloss.

WWI eastern front would be interesting. with the german stormtroopers Though, I think some of the TG would cover this. Boer war would be interesting in a nice matt format.

As I have not posted a poll before what is the difference in it being public to what I presume, must conversly be a private poll Thanks in advance???

Some people might want to know what their vote is. Isn't that the point of a secret ballot :rolleyes2: Regardless, what benefit is gained by knowing how particular people vote. The question is what people, in the aggregate, think of these suggestions. If you can explain to me the benefit of knowing, for example, how you feel about an idea or how I feel about an idea, then I suppose I would withdraw the question.

Not challenging your comment, just never thought about it, either way.

I can see that a person doesn't need to know, necessarily, who chose which. But on the other hand, I can see that it doesn't really matter, in this kind of a poll. It's not like we're asking about political party affiliations, or religious beliefs. And I could see that it could spark intelligent and mature conversation. Sandor can review the results and say, "So-and-so, you chose (x)--I'm interested to know why".

So, I stand by my question, which is really more rhetorical--what difference does it make?

Prost!

Brad..

My question was more about the differences between the two in a tangible sense. Yours seems to be more based on a privacy issue. I dont have an issue with someone who only reads the forum knowing if there are a certain range I like. I don't think this has a similarity to a secret poll, say, in a club or, a parliamentary election. I don't see the issue behind it needing to be kept secret. I am not bothered who knows how I vote. Bank details and similar are regarded with great privacy but not polls on a TS site. The poll only asks which you would like to see not, why you would not or, asking for an explanation to back up the answer.

No harm can come of this being public can it??

That's exactly my stance. It's just a poll about preference- if I pick the same as another guy, I might want to talk with him about that, because we have an interest in common. On the other hand, if it is anonymous, I see that this one other guy voted for that thing, but I will never know this mysterious person. So if you want your privacy on this, just don't vote. Just a fun poll here.

Or 10.............:rolleyes2::wink2:

The Franco-Prussian War would be a worthwhile range to collect, this gets my vote. {sm3}

What about something a little more modern such as the Israel v Arab wars? Great tanks etc??

The Franco-Prussian War would be an interesting one and might be a natural side interest for those who like their Napoleonics. The Arab-Israeli War might also be a good one given they used tanks that are already on the market. For a diorama novice like me anything in the desert is good - just get a board and some sand!

The Boer war suits me as I have a start with Britain's Nile figures, see potential in this series. Cheers, Robin.

I would vote against any line that makes that Nile Steamer look better. It is just superb - I can resist everything except temptation!

I can see it now the the Nile Steamer HMS JACK....its only a matter of time.

Buy the boat buy the boat buy the boat....... that way all the Napoleonics will be mine ALL MINE!!!!
