I am starting to put together my Roman camp scene, which is one I have wanted to get started on for a while. I think the box I was going to use is too small, but it is a nice place to hold them for now:

I decided to go in a different direction. Since I have to move my stuff around so much, I decided to go with serving trays until my daughters are older and I don't have to worry so much about little ones playing with "Daddy's toys."

I do have some real dirt I am going to sprinkle on it as I have seen others do.

Also, need to add some more of the camp scene figures.

Just be careful with the real dirt mate. Most soil has chemicals in it from years of people planting trees, pollution from cars etc. There was a guy on here a few years ago who did this and it stripped the paint off the base of his figures.

Thanks for the heads up. I assume store bought soil could even be worse with what they add into it?

Got a few more pieces. Not great photos. Just quickies:

I need to retake this one as I didn't capture enough of the gladius sharpening figure.

Always like ‘at rest’ scenes no matter what the era, but these Romans look terrific. Robin.

The tent makes for a great backdrop. A really good series to collect and display that’s for sure. Robin.

Looks Great, The mixture of First Legion and Aeroart figures really works well IMO.. :salute::

Bradley...that looks great...I'm falling in love with these small dio frames I see a few guys doing...yours seem very versatile for a lot of different series/genres...very nice!

And very easy to move around for picture taking or just rearranging.

Thanks!
