These are pretty interesting plastics. I have a bunch of them and I am thinking about putting them on eBay. I have no idea who made them - they seem to me to be an Italian maker for some reason - maybe the sculpting reminds me of Atlantic or something.

Anyways, who made 'em???

Well, when I saw it yesterday, and saw your note about a possible Italian maker, I thought rather that they remind me of early American plastic makers, like Beton or one of the other of the first generation of plastic toy makers. Since I don't have a lot of experience with plastic figures, I have to go off what I've read in O'Brien's books, and in others.

What scale are they (roughly)? Are they hard plastic or a softer plastic?

Are there any marks at all, either under the base or somewhere on the figures?

Def not anything like Beton and they just can't be American. No way. They are very European looking to me.

They are 60 - 70mm. Pretty odd size.

believe it or not, they aren't on that site and its a thorough site!

The mountie looks like a Reamsa and the mounted cavalry and guy geting shot with an arrow look like Dulcop, the others I have no idea.

Thats what I was thinking but they are painted. They are not painted by just an individual but by a company. The painting is too consistent.

Did Dulcop or Reamsa paint their own figures during their initial productions?

Does the style look anything like Starlux?

Scott, bingo! The wounded figure with the head back is in your Reamsa photo. Definately not stalux. These are all softer plastic and larger in size.

Ok, so now we know who made them! I didn't know Reamsa painted their figures. I guess now we do...

Thanks for your help!

Both Reamsa and Dulcop made some factory painted figures. From what I understand the originals from reamsa were painted and the recasts were not.

I have the two Starlux western females and they're made from stiff plastic, with rectangular bases. The Reamsa Apache with the shield looks like one of yours to.
