Hi..recently i bought this piece "Shoeing and grooming" , really nice..now i want to know who sculpted this..because is different in size and style from the latest WB pieces..

It's not one of the ones Alan Ball did, is it? I know he's been working on some of the new lines.

I really don't know..they are really good by the way..i love the work of Ken Osen too..really dinamic poses..the size of this piece is 1/30 and they do their part near the K&C Confederates!

This is a piece from about 2002 when Britains was owed by RC2. I don't think Ken was with the company at that time.

I just noticed the question about this set and you are correct. This is one of the sets produced by RC2 and the pattern was created in China by one of the staff members at the factory they were using at the time.
Alan Ball and I were not working for W. Britain under RC2...as a matter of fact I was working with Conte Collectibles designing and sculpting new patterns at this time.
I continued to work for Conte for almost four years and during this time Alan patterned some of the figures for Forward March.
Later we both did some work for Corgi and I developed the initial line for Old NorthWest Trading Company. We are both currently working with Richard Walker at 1st Gear/W.Britain.
I agree that this is an interesting set...Maybe we should revisit something like it in the future. Remember we are always open to suggestions.
