My question of Whos Got Them ?? - is for those wonderful NAPOLEONIC 7th CUIRASSIERS ! :D

Well lets hear it - whos go them?

How do you have them displayed? Do you have all of them?? Or if Not Which Ones? Why did you pick that one - first??

Ron

Ok, since this is Sunday morning ... and that the chair's against the wall.

I have the "barmaid" & the drinking Cuirassier. Am giving the guy with the saddle a miss.. unless there's is going to be a horse. I have posted earlier on the subject of unmounted horses.

Still to get 6 of the mounted Cuirassiers ... the General, trumpeter, charging, advancing, slashing & firing pistols. Not sure if its appropriate to discuss what I dont like about some of the poses.

Generally .. I dont buy "flat" dead or falling dead troopers. Although I am partial to wounded, limping, crawling ... like the Scots FGrey seizing the colors set.

I have them all whith the outher horseman in a big charge .
30 dragoon's and cuirassiers .
:)

I havent purchased them as of yet ....BUT....when I do they will have just finished their charge and will be retreating...realizing their butts have been kicked.....I may even paint some tears on their faces ........:p

I have got them and they are pretty awesome.

I typically don't buy part of a new set. I just buy them all at one time. I only collect K&C's Napoleonic line. I had collected some World War II, but sold them. I am hoping Andy will expand this range in the future to the different nations that took part during the wars. I currently have at least one of NA001 - NA136, plus KCS067-KCS076.

I have bought the Manes Marzano "Retreat From Russia" set #1 and I love it. When TFT gets some stock in for set #2, I will definitely buy it. They are great figures.

I will say that since my "fun money" is currently a little low, I might end up buying the next Napoleonic set release from K&C piecemeal, but I usually don't.

Have a blessed Sunday guys/gals. :)

I have agreed with your points on Unmounted Horses and hopefully Andy has taken those points under advisement. Sure, we can discuss your thoughts on on some of the poses - you might have some who agree and it would be interesting to read. Its not like youre going to tell Andy how to run his company ;)

I on the other hand - am a big believer in Dead Figures - you cant have a very convicing diorama without them - IMO. :) I really like the wounded guys very much too !! What the heck - I love them all :D

Hows does the barmaid look up close. I plan to buy the Seated Calavary Set and those new ones for a scene of the French Calvary HQ. This is a big change for me since I really only buy action figures and have action dioramas.

If we are going to make an accurate charge then Andy really needs to make more dead French calvery.......:) Ron I'm taking shots at you.....you must have grown wearing from your last charge....

The picture that, which is my favorite I might add, and which sits above my fire place where all my K&C sit as well as my Napoleonic Antiques is none other than.....

QUATRE BRAS 1815...BY LADY BUTLER...The best Napoleonic picture I have ever seen.

WELLINGTON

PS just pulling your LANCE.....its good that I have an ally on here who will talk about the Napoleonic range....

Hi Ron,

So far I've picked up the following Cuirassiers: NA111 General, NA113 Trumpeter, NA114 Charging sword forward, NA115 Falling off horse, NA119 Slashing w/sword and NA121 Firing pistol. The one I like best is the trooper firing his pistol.

These are some of the nicest Napoleonics K&C have produced to date. I'm hoping to complete the set shortly, but probably won't get the Cantiniere or the drinking guy, or the one with the saddle (unless K&C put out a horse to go with him) as I prefer the action poses.

I just saw the painting - Impressive Square. Lady Butler was a great artist.

Fornately, we have new dead Coldstream Guards in the last K&C release so we can buy many and make our diorama look very real ;)
....we at least for us French Supporters :p

Have you bought any of the Coldstream Guards - yet?

Yes actually I have bought about 25 of them...I have formed a square and funny enough I have purchased the French Calvary guy falling off the horse and the dead one...but do plan on buying the rest of them to save some form of face....I feel bad winning all the time in my dioramas.......;)

You know when you look at my dioramas - you get the feeling that NAPOLEON Won Waterloo !! :D

Strange....Ive got a question for you,,,,,when you display Napoleon how do you get the viewer to see him in your dioramas..... when he is constantly under the boot of WELLINGTON.

YOUR LORDSHIP......

Why thats EASY to explain !

WELLINGTON IS DEAD !!

hehehehehe :D :p

I,ve got all of the K&C cuirassiers. Cuirassiers are my favorite off all the french cavalry.
I think they are great looking figures and some of the best Andy has come out with so far.
To the horror of you K&C purists though I mix mine in with my other inferior brands of toy soldiers like frontline, britains, niena, del prado and any other figures I like that would turn the stomachs of the K&C purists!

I know You can,t compare a frontline pokey looking horse to the K&C ones but, I still like the frontline figures even if the horses could have been better sculpted and think they look good mixed together in a large diorama. I can also find the other figures at a munch lower price and fill out a large diorama at a fraction of the cost.

I agree with you about the Manes Marzano "Retreat from Moscow" figures. They are truly unique in comparison with K&C, Del Prado, Frontline etc.

Those are russian made figures by niena studios. You can find them on ebay. They are some great looking figures. I really like the cavalry figures they make.
