I am new to this site and have noticed everyone has a military rank...how does this work ?....just curious...TomB

Hi Tom,

It's based on the number of posts you make on the forum.. the more posts, the higher the rank.. I don't know what the breakdown is.. My rank is corporal - which means relatively speaking, I haven't posted a lot..

The Forum program has an adjustable scale with the number of posts equating to ranks. The rank is based on the number of posts a member makes. Note - I didn't say good posts :rolleyes2:^&grin The more posts a member makes, the higher the rank he achieves.

There is absolutely no benefit to achieving higher ranks. It may be just an ego thing for some people. Or recognition of contributing to the Forum (and once again I did not specify a positive contribution) Misuse of the system can be identified by the poster repeatedly using the words grey and stuka no matter what the post is about - but that may only be because Perth is so isolated and those types of members seem to be concentrated there. ^&grin Be careful not to approach them.

The rank should be for the quality of the posts more than the quantity...

Accuse me of whatever you wish my Canadian friend, but never accuse me of bowing to that particular expectation.

FMJ does have a certain ring to it Jack but if you were to attain that rank in the not too distant future then i would demand you bow to that expectation..^&grin
