Hi Guys,

I’ve been following many of the recent posts with, as usual, great interest… Here, for what it’s worth, is my tuppence worth…

1. “Secondary Market. How are values holding up?”
Well, to be honest, I’ve never sold anything on ebay…. I’ve never bought anything either. However I would assume, as most of you do, that when money is tight people buy less… And that goes for both the primary and secondary markets. However from day one, I’ve always been surprised at what some folks will pay to get something they really, really want. Good luck to them and good luck to the seller.
I’m sure though sellers have become more flexible with a few less buyers around.

2. Market Growth or Decline?
Speaking personally, I can still see some growth although it has slowed a wee bit. Amazingly (at least I’m amazed) some dealers are still seeing a substantial “rise” in sales… and reporting brand-new collectors continuing to come into the hobby—even in these challenging times… so that’s good news!

3. Another Tiger?
You betcha! It is my favourite German tank and K&C has always done well with that beast!
Definitely K&C will revisit that particular “Tank Farm” in the not-too-distant future… Now, exactly which model… which paint version … Watch this space!

4. “And finally…”
This recession/depression will eventually end. How and when? I wish I knew… But the world always has to go on and I am sure most of you and most of us will be there when it does.
K&C is determined to go on because unlike big boys like GM and a few others we run a tight ship, we don’t owe anyone anything and, touch wood, no one owe us anything either… We’re also not looking for any Government handouts!
We’ll continue to do what we do in the best way we can for the most number of collectors who enjoy our products. At the end of the day what more can any of us do?

And so, on that cheery note, I’ll bid you all a fond adieu!

All the best guys and… happy collecting!
Andy C.

:D

Classic K&C addiction symptoms!.Whenever Andy posts on the forum its difficult not to ask him isn't it?!;)

I have a feeling this is going to be a stonkingly good year for WW2 Collectors, and if we are going to get another Tiger it just got better!;)

Rob

If the first of the year releases are any indicator it should be another great year for collectors. K&C released some really fantastic pieces so far...Red Lancers..Komet..I'm really excited to see what's in store in the coming months!

Encouraging news for all collectors. Glad to hear K&C sales are still doing well. Of course, as to the title, one is hard pressed to find a company that you would not prefer to own over GM.;)

I for one am glad to have a hobby to make me forget about the trying times. Bad negative news everyday it gets old real fast! I was actually gonna suspend all buying for one year. Then Andy came out with TRW series and I know I wont be able to pass up the Crusader,Sarcaren release later in the year. Oh well I tryed maybe some of you have more will power than me!

Couldn't agree more.Get so fed up with hearing bad news day after day,i'm sure some of our less professional newspapers and tv stations love just worrying people. So its great to have a collecting hobby that is a very happy diversion.Bring on the new Tiger i say!;):)

Yeah, Andy still controls his own business, and doesn't have to answer to a "Toy Soldier Board" ;)

Glad to hear KC is doing well and remains optimistic about their market. We collector's do what we can. Now, as to a new Tiger, how about one from the 1st, 2nd, or 3rd SS at Prokarovka (I know, Eastern front)? With a Tiger from Kursk, I can justify buying an Elephant to go with it, even though they weren't brigaded together. It will get me out of Normandy for a while and away from those Jabos. -- lancer

I absolutely agreed with Andy.

Good to hear from the bossman every now and then, and really glad that we don't need a stimulas package to help keep our hobby afloat:D:D, even though everyone else is asking for one maybe I'll get in line and get one then I can buy my elusive winter tiger!!...Sammy

Andy has success based on hard work and creativity, but the REAL reason for the success of K&C is that they have NO input from the US Congress or Senate! The only emissions to worry about are the "Oohs and Aahs" from the collectors with each month's dispatches. No congressmen telling Andy that he can't use whatever mode of travel the company can afford (right before they climb into their private jets that are provided at taxpayer expense). No government oversight means that K&C can adapt to the market and use its creativity to bring us great new toys! Stay free Andy!

Excellent comments from Andy.

Indeed, if K&C had publicly traded shares, Id be all over 'em!

i think its good that Andy will do some more Tigers, as i felt with time, further improvements ensure these will be sellable items. I always am keen on improved versions of the vehicles and so far K&C has been more hits than misses on this respect.

Andy its great to hear about the health of the "primary" market for a change! I'm glad ( but not surprised ) that K&C is so stable finacially and that things are going OK. Keep up the great work and keep my awesome collectibles coming, I shutter to think of my world without them.
By the way, unlike GM, your products keep improving and are the best in their field, imho.;)

Andy - Great to hear our hobby is doing well - keep up the good work.

However, WE DON'T NEED GERMAN TIGERS !

We Need PRUSSIAN SOLDIERS !
