Why is First Legion getting my money. (2 Viewers)

I could echo some of the points already mentioned by some here, but for me it's mainly the painting/sculpting detail. The WWII figures have a true real weathered look (not too bright). The painting detail is exceptional. Another thing is that they are true 1/30th scale. They photograph well with some of my 1/30th armor and even some of my 1/32 armor as well.

Why are they getting my" HARD EARNED CASH" due to fig's such as these... Alway's envy you NAP collector's. FL's 18th Line infantry regiment pulled me rite in, Some AWSOME looking fig's. FL RULE!!!!!{bravo}}{bravo}}{bravo}}

I like the fuzzy stuff on the top of the bases - Just kidding.

I bought the first five of The Renaissance series last week - very nice and I'll collect all of them. These are my first FL sets. I have had the Russian Villages Houses and Plancenoit structures since they came out and they are the best so hope there are more along these lines.

I was surprised at just how good the Landsknechts are and like their uniqueness. Reminds me of the Snowshoes series in that way.

The Glory of Rome is the other series I am interested.

Maybe it's just because they are good. Maybe on the verge of being great. Maybe this scares people . Only time will tell.But there here to stay.Simmo.

No verge about it they are GREAT IMO of course :wink2: if this scares people its pretty funny actually , I guess they will just have to hide away with thier Cassette tapes and VHS Tapes and talk of old days when things were not so frightening {eek3} . I'm sure like yourself I have never seen a figure that has made me scared . I just saw a figure of a Teutonic Knight posted by Igor of Neina Studios and it is one of the best paint jobs I have even seen If FL scare some.... this one may well send em to the Hospital ^&grin .
I think FL are the best Value to money on the market and are bringing a level of figure to the masses that up untill was the play grown of the few who can afford 150 bucks per figure ... nothing scarry about that , in fact its FANTASTIC and that's why Matt has been getting 90% of my TS money for years now . Regards Gebhard

I am spending my soldier hobby money exclusively on FL.
I love the quality of detail with each piece. I sold all of my
Other brands in my collection. Collecting ceases to be enjoyable
When speculators seem to have access to a majority of limited pieces,
Holding a lot of collectors hostage. I like the idea of having time to obtain
The pieces that interest me.
I currently have a few eastern front germans and some
CW cavalry. Looking to obtain my first winter armor piece or truck.

Speaking of CW cavalry, last week I received from George Guerriero (Minuteman Toy Soldiers), ACW 038 and it's a remarkable piece.

Yep, I agree. In my mind FL is delivering a toy soldier (and vehicles) that's simply a level above most other makers and I have a plenty of items from all the other major makers and greatly admire their offerings (sure wish HB was still in business). I honestly wish they could be worked into combined dios with other makers, but have decided I'm willing to take the trade-off.
I'm 'thinning the herd' from my current collection from other makers to make room for more FL-I think that says it all.

I can only express one man’s opinion.:smile2:

First Legion is the best and I would not be contented with anything less.

I can't really see buying anything else right now. The sculpts, paint and over all quality is on a different level. Not to mention I collect almost every range FL produces except NAPS. I'm dreading what my final tally in Chicago will be this year :rolleyes:

I will be buying some ACW pieces, Next month When the 13th Alabama pieces Comes out. I always buy the The Standard Bearer First on Anything I buy, And The Alabama One Really looks great.

I have to say that they are not anymore. I have some pieces and started going after the Bavarian s on the secondary market and Prussians etc on the current. Then I was introduced to Kronprinz....and for about half the cost I had to switch. The quality is slightly less...but not like twice the cost.

Sorry FL. It is kind of like why TG has much of my money now instead of KC.

Find ways to limit your overhead and bring these things into the say 30 dollar market and i will be back.

I still think there is a noticable difference which will easily seperate an FL figure from a KP figure. I like the high standard figure that FL produces and I would never consider taking a step back which would be the case if I went from FL to KP. FLs pricepoint is perfect for what I consider to be the best in the business. This is just my opinion though and everyone is entitled their own.

I agree with this although I'm awaiting my first KP ACW figures. Frankly, I have come to prefer the higher end better scultpted and painted figures and FL is good midpoint between the lower end (in cost) and Aeroart.

You don't see a K & C/TG type figure at $30 and as FL is better made why would you expect to see one at that price.

Why does FL get my money??....Quite Simple....Best Price/Quality ratio out there today....Nothing else even comes close to FL figures quality and detail.....Quite Simply......First Legion Rules:wink2:

Oh boy, here we go {sm4}{sm4}

Simple for me really, I'm dedicated to collecting Romans. FL does Romans.

The Takeda cavalry is causing my defense budget some serious headaches though{sm4}
