Can anyone help me with why are the soldiers lying in prone positions with Bren guns or MG42s use sand bags.I would like like to see these with stands down.Do they brake with transport worldwide so K&C firm them up with the sand bags.Is this the reason for this. There are alot of photos of fighting soldiers in WW2 with the stands down. Can anyone explain.

I agree. Sometimes in a defensive position sandbags make sense but for soldiers on the attack - I don't think so. Where did the new FJ mg-34 team get their sand bags from if they just landed by parachute? The bipod stand is there on machine guns for a reason - to be used. :)

Because they just repeat the same set of Blitzkrieg WS38 prototype. The same with the new series of WWI-Germans, they use the same figurines of the WS39 and WS39, it is easy to build with the low cost.

I suspect its a fragility issue. The machine gunner in WS02 had the stand down and no sand bags, and it was famous for the stand and/or the end of the MG42 breaking off. However, Debrito is correct that Andy uses casting over and over, repainting them and adding new heads or arms, I suspect to maximize the return on his investment in the sculpting. He always has. Heck Britains did it for like 100 years, so its pretty much an expected tactic in the industry at this point.
