In my case, it's a combination of availability, price, detail and selection, with a good dose of nostalgia thrown in. I think that, for many of us out there in the 30-years-and-up range, they were the first painted figures we got as children (I really don't remember seeing any other lines during my early years). The bulk of my collection are made up of Super Deetail figures I received in the 70s and 80s, and even though they may be a little too brightly colored and lacking in detail they are perfect in my eyes.

I like Britains as a source for more poses for my WW2 figures. In the last few years the Britains WW2 figures have gotten better in poses, detail and painting. The Britains figures are compatible with the metals from ONTC and the plastics from Conte and TSSD. For a convertor and collector that gives a much wider range of available poses.

I'm looking forward to more Normandy-vintage GIs.

Hi Gary,

I totally agree with you. I am also looking forward to some WWII Normandy figures I would really love to see some Armored Infantry from 2nd Armored Division in the mix for a Carantan display. The Glider and Paratroopers are great but it would be great to widen the scope a bit and see some of the under represented Divisions.

Gary and Dave, totally agree, I would really like to see some armored infantry (ONTC had a good set of 2nd Armored), glider pilots, and since they have historical character figures in other ranges, I'd love to some historical figures like Ronald Speirs, Dick Winters, Lewis Nixon, etc. done!:cool::D:)

This would be a great new range: HEROES OF D-DAY;

The line could include; Dick Winters, Lenord Lomell, Norman Cota, T.R. Jr., James Earl Rudder, etc.!:cool:
