Is anyone going to the show in Williamsburg being sponsored by Britains? I was supposed to but couldn't get the time off from work. :( Hopefully someone will post some pics!

I went last year and would have again if I hadn't spent so much money on vacation and other things lately. It was a lot of fun.

Yes we haven't heard much about this show this year? Not even from the britain's staff? Would be nice to see some photos? Maybe one of this years event figure? Hopefully mine will be posted soon & I can put up some photos of it!

Hi All!
I just returned home yesterday and Richard was back in the office today. We are both buried in loose ends playing catch up after being away.
I know that several people were taking pictures and the event was well attended. Hopefully someone will post a few images here.
The event figure was another guardsman from the 1815 full dress series and I will find mine tomorrow and take a picture for you.
Ken

There are still 6 tickets left to the event - even though it is over - we have 6 figures available if anyone is interested? It is a Coldstream Guards NCO, 1815 that goes with the last 4 years worth of releases.

Sorry for the delay in posting this image. This is the event figure that was issued to ticket holders of the evening event at Williamsburg VA this year. This was designed to be used with the last few years of event figures to build a collection of Guardsman in home service full dress 1815. Hope you like it.
All the Best,
Ken

Very nice to see them all together thanks for posting! One question do you need two NCO's or would one look fine in a dio?

So far ive got the Drum Major, 3 Drummers, 4 Fifers 1 Regimental Colour & 1 Kings Colour. Still waiting on the NCO & the Officer (plus an extra drummer if one ever comes up for sale)

Hi There!
One NCO would be fine for this collection. I have just ordered 10 of figure #44026 Coldstream Guards OR Full Dress 1815 to use with my collection. I designed this figure for this very purpose. I suppose I should have bought 20 for a better display though!

To think all of these started with the 3 figure club set 'ready for Duty' a few years ago.
I had always envisioned these as everyone gathering on the parade ground before formation so there could be some variations in poses. I suppose if I were to do this again I might vary some details. I know I may make some minor adjustments when I finally get all of mine together. As dad might say... another "Five minute job" to add to my list.

When I get these, and the December London Event figure I will post some more pictures.

All the Best,
Ken

Thanks for quick answer Ken :) So theres no need to buy a 2nd NCO but definitely gona need to buy more coldstream guards in full dress lol I only have 4 was thinking 8 would look good? Was planning on displaying them all together with my coldstream guards band! Just need a good back drop like whitehall or something similar.

All the best, & hopefully see you in december,
Craig

JG Miniatures sells a Whitehall backdrop Craig.

Hi All!
Well the Big Brown truck arrived last week with my 10 new W. Britain #44026 Coldstream Guards OR in Full Dress 1815. I bought these to use with the event figures I have sculpted for the various W. Britain events the last couple of years. There are two left to get... the London event officer figure and the pioneer exclusive that will be released at the same time.
Meanwhile I took some pictures of my collection set up in various scenes. These were all pretty simple using either one of my H&A 'grassy bases', the Red Lion Inn I patterned for Britain, or the small diorama base I made while part owner of ONWTC.

All of them use various prints after the eighteenth century British artist Paul Sandby. I think these are great backdrops for the classics.

This is one of my favorite watercolors to use as a backdrop.

Ken

Those all look terrific. You are right about the appropriateness of the Sandby prints as backdrops. Happy to see the Petticoat with the group too.
