Hi Everyone!

On Sept 12th, we will be unveiling our new range at the Empire Open Day at Magpie in Evesham. In tandem with this we are running a competition with a superb prize up for grabs.

The contest is in 3 parts.

Part One: Correctly name the range and you will be entered into a draw to win any single foot figure from our range.

Part Two: Correctly guess the regiment we are featuring first up in the range and you will be entered into a draw to win your choice of one of the new foot figures.

Part Three: Correctly answer parts one and two and you will be in the draw to win one of the Pre-Production figures from the new range!!

All you need to do to enter is to e-mail me your answers to malcolm@empiremm.co.uk and mark the e-mail New Range Competition. Entries close at midnight 10th Sept.

No e-mails will be stored, used for marketing or sold to anyone, you are safe with us

Good luck and the rules are simple. If you are a retailer, employee or involved with Empire you are exempt. Likewise, if you are my chum and know about this you are exempt too {sm4}

A few of you have asked for clues and maybe finding the answer a little obscure so, here is a little more help.

A clue is in the company name...... For the range title.
The first Regiment is well known...... And collected.

Someone has come very close to the Regiment in an e-mail submission already but not quite right.

Put those creative thinking caps on guys.........

My guess for the conflict/era was the Second Opium War (1856-1860). As for the regiment, I'd guess either the 18th (Royal Irish) or the 67th (South Hampshire) Regiments of Foot based on these more well known illustrations.

The range title is linked to our Company Name. Charlie Brown was on the right line of thought.

The Regiment is numbered so pre Cardwell.......

And finally. We have seen the paint masters.... They are stunning!!

Regiments aren't my era nor speciality. So I'd need a hundred guesses at least!

OK, so, we are just 5 days away now. Some have gotten close but no one has predicted 100% so.....

Here is an extra little bit of help. Remember, the questions are:

1: Range Title.
2: The Regiment.

The BIG prize is one of the ACTUAL MASTERS from the new range. If you get both parts of the question right, you go into the draw!!!

Here are the FINAL clues boys and, seeing as it is me, you can ALL have one more go for free :salute:: I must be crazy {sm4} (plus, I was wrong in a previous post, these are POST Cardwell, although the Regiment is far older)

The range title is HINTED AT in our company name........
The Range title enables us to cover many periods, conflicts and combatants........
The Regiment is Numbered, well known and very respected...........
We have been asked to cover this Regiment by many people / collectors...............


Good Luck One and All, I really do want one of you to win this magnificent prize. It would be great if I was able to hand it to you in person in Chicago too (or London of course).
