I was at Sierra Toy Soldier this weekend and I saw the new Figarti Winter Bergepanzer IV. The vehicle is great, very well done, nice details and impeccable weathering. I really liked it except for the figures. Especially the one carrying the tool box. Why is he so red? He looks like he just left the tanning salon and fell asleep while in one of the tanning beds.

I thought about that, or Mike at Sierra suggested it maybe the sunburn you get from the reflection of the snow. It just seems way too red for me. Again, it is a great vehicle, but that figure seems a little off.

I hate to say this but I agree somewhat. The figures are just ok. The figure holding the tool bag/case has no real substance to him and or his uniform. On the other hand, the figures from the 150mm Artillery set are better but the quality of the sculpts really vary quite a bit. As previously pointed out, both the Bergepanzer and 150mm artillery piece are superbe. On another note, the Figarti packaging complete with the pull straps for the figures, is the best that I have seen. Well protected for the ride from China and clean as can be with nothing to clean up.

It's comforting to hear that everyone's recent Figarti hauls are arriving intact w/ no damage issues. They have really put an emphasis on this, so kudos are due to Figarti for their improved quality control efforts :).

Although I am tempted to acquire this piece....I am holding out on this one in the hopes that Figarti will produce either a Winter Panzer IV short barrel or a Winter Tiger in 1:30 scale.......Now those would be great to see.....I hope some day soon

Good call, the straps are a nice touch.
