Picked up this retired item from local dealer. Dont normally collect Winter Germans but got a good price as missing its box and last one available.

A real one would be great for driving around Queensland beaches as long as no crocs around.

Yep; gotta get some snow - not much around in Queensland. Might have to settle for mud.

Hi Tom,
I cannot take the glory for the wind-up; it was Brett's idea but of course, we all thought it'd be a great joke - an Anzac Day funny; kind-of-post-April 1st. Anyway, It's a good looking soft-top; and they would be ideal for the kind of weather that seems to be developing as the norm for Queensland...uh, and Northern Territory, of course. I've just been to Bunnings to get a bagful of NT desert for my DAK medical team. Look forward to meeting at dinner in July. Cheers, Bob

Gidday Bob

Brett sure got me hook line and sinker that's for sure! Yes, they are a great looking little vehicle and i was lucky enough to see the real deal in a Museum in France several years ago. Not sure if they would be any good in certain rivers around here as the croc's would be licking thier chops and eagerly jumping into them while they were motoring down the river!

As for NT Desert, i didn't know you could get our dirt in Bunnings, but i suppose it's that precious people are willing to pay good money for it....:wink2:^&grin

Looking forward to catching up as well mate.

Tom
