Hi all,

I've finally delved into the colder temperatures of the Battle of the Bulge theme. Over the next few weeks, I'm sure I'll be sharing some photographs of my newest pieces (and more on the wish list). I never thought I'd be getting into the winter theme, but I'm a sucker for the greatcoats and combined with the German helmets and vehicles, I can create a nice opposition for my Red Army (and perhaps some new US troops down the road).

Here's the first, I call "Winter Patrol". Perhaps they will find a White Tiger along the way.;)

This inspiration photo from Looking for Group of Germans Next to WS220, helped spark my interest.

Thanks to PanzerAce1944 for sharing back in 2012! :salute::

Excellent pic Rob! (and Wayne as well) It's always tough financially to start collecting a different series but when you do, the Bulge is the series to collect in my opinion.

Thanks Wayne. I like them too! And that airplane looks great in your scene. Maybe down the road, I'll have to get some air support. Reminds me of the movie, Stalingrad. I like how you "winterized" the fuel cart - nice touch.

I think you can spot my twin guard set in this pic:

Very inspiring reasons to go down the Winter road. Robin.
Thanks Robin - appreciate it.

Thanks Tom. It sure is. One only has a few pieces, and you want more to add to the new theme quickly to create a scene. I appreciate your thoughts on the Bulge series as well. Reassures me that it's a nice theme to collect.

I've got some armor on the way. ;)

I have drawn a line in the snow for the time being trying to resist buying anymore. Of course if Andy releases a Winterized 250 halftrack I am done. I think doing photos in Black & White like you have done Rob, would allow me to use some items that are not really Winter, something to consider. Robin.

Hi Robin - I can certainly understand. It's been a very expensive month for me. A winterized half track would be a nice piece. You can certainly photograph some of your grey in a different surrounding. I cheated "big time" with the picture below. I'm looking forward to some winterized armor. I watch a movie called White Tiger recently and it got me appreciating the winterized Tiger by K&C.
