Looking to buy a K&C Tiger tank for my Market Garden Dio & was wondering witch one to get , thinking of getting WS 151 , any help would be welcome :salute::

Difficult one. For Market Garden, S.Pz.Abt 506 was at Oosterbeek and some of their tanks fought in Arnhem, but that unit had been re-equipped with Porsche King Tigers. Their Tiger I's had been distributed to other heavy tank units for the refit. The 9th SS Panzer Division was at Nijmegen, but they were equipped with 4 Kompanies of Panther tanks. Probably one of the K&C Porsche KT's would be best. (WS067)

If you are a rivet counter (ie. bothered by historical inaccuracy), then WS151 is the wrong Tiger. It is painted in the colors and markings of the 2nd SS at the battle of Kursk in 1943. Unless I am missing something, the WS26 Tiger is probably the closest to an Arnhem color scheme (or the Wittmann Tiger, but that wasn't there, either). -- Al

Yes- all the unit insignia were changed for the Kursk offensive and then changed back after the battle. The only Tiger I's that took part in Market Garden where the few from a training school that Frank pointed out. While the Kursk Tiger is not correct for Markket Garden, it is probably the closest K&C version. Perhaps without the Kursk insignia and white tank number, then only the camo would be a bit off.

yes, I too would say that the WS067 King Tiger should work well. I got mine on
E-Bay for $209.00 last month with original box.Maybe better yet how about the
new K&C Hunting tiger coming out in March ???:smile2:

Jagdtigers didnt get into combat until long after Market Garden.
