The MISR (Egypt) Once belonged to King Farouk as his private yacht, now a tourist Nile cruiser and one I was lucky enough to have done one of my Nile cruises on a few years ago.

Great idea, Steve. My Poirot is currently exploring the Tomb of the Mummy.

EDIT: here you go

Steve,

Love these figures and you know how to portray them. Really enjoy these pictures.

Steve you must look back and think how lucky you were to get this trip in before the current state of the world. Excellent setup. Robin.

Very good the idea, but the backdrop spoils the atmosphere, the boat is a new one.%^V

The Sudan certainly is a lovely looking boat Poppo ! Have you been on it ?

Not much difference in the age of either of them with the Misr being built in 1918, it has been refurbished over the years as have the other couple of olden's still surviving and afloat, like the Sudan having had millions spent on it's rescue and repair and was in the David Suchet Poirot. The Peter Ustinov version used another boat entirely.

Cheers Steve.

Yes the new King Tut's Tomb set has great figures and Andy's preview of future figures look great too.

Thanks too Robin.
Yes I'm glad that I got to see these places around the Middle East around when I did, what with Civil Wars and Revolutions, with some of the places only existing in peoples memories and photos now !
And of course the ease of International travel has changed since the Pandemic, and looks like it's going to stay that way for a long time to come.

I was on a cruise on the Nile 12 years ago;a guided tour in south Egypt and for a night in one of those modern boats that queue on the river..I was in Assuan, and I was amazed by Karnak giant columns. Happy new year!
