As an owner of the current K&C Wittman Tiger And a most certain owner of the upcoming Zimmeritt Wittman Tiger by CS I am debating the need for both as the CS Tiger does has the proper Zimmeritt applied and the previous release does not. Having both on display would draw attention to the non Zimmeritt version as being incorrect. What are the forums thoughts on the matter ??????

An interesting dilema to be sure.

I would keep them both and display them in different areas of the collection. Unless the folks seeing the displays are ultra knowledgeable they are very likely to miss the issue of no zimmeritt on one vs the other.

I sold my K&C Wittmann tank in favour of the new K&C Leningrad snow Tiger. Other than the name Wittmann, I didn't have any great fondness for the actual model. I didn't think it was special like some of the other older K&C models I have, and when space and money dictated a cutback in Tigers, the Wittmann Tiger was the one to go.

I sold the KC Wittmann Tiger when CS issued it's first Wittmann Tiger with zimm. The CS Tiger was not the last 007 Wittmann but it was a Normandy version. Since the KC version was incorrect, it went. To me, there was no dilemma. I will be after the new CS "Wittmann's last Tiger" as well. -- Al

Especially when its CS replacement will have the historically accurate Zimmeritt !

I don't think having a zimmeritt tank next to a non zimm version would draw attention to the fact that its wrong. You already know it is so, just keep them seperate if it bothers you. Although its wrong historically its a great set if you can't sell it and someone who does not have it will appreciate it for what it is

The size difference matters, thats about it. If the K&C has 007 on the side, then it is most likely the incorrect version. Additionally is the model representing the Late Evariant? 007 was not the only Tiger which Wittman served with. S02 in Das Reich a non-zimmeritt Tiger, then there were the Tiger 1331 in the sSSPzAbt 101, both earlier variants.

I am thinking of selling the K&C #007 to have the correct Zimmeritt version. Especially with the add on crew it is a doozy of a set !!! {sm5}

This is exactly what I did when CS came out with it's first Wittmann Tiger all those months ago. The KC 007 was inaccurate and undersized, so it went. Am excited to have another shot at a correct 007 courtesy of CS. -- Al

I did not get the K&C wittman tiger or the winter version when they came out so, took a hit on the secondary market for both. Now, its the wrong variant and no zimm etc but, I really like them all the same. I would have liked to see a late war K&C Tiger 1 but, CS has pipped them to the post this time.

I still think the saying about you can never have too many tigers rings true

I had to get both of those two on the secondary market also. Not intending to do that for the CS Wittman Tiger though. ^&cool
