Woodstock "Documentary" (1 Viewer)

Did any of you catch the documentary Woodstock then and now that was on VH1 Classic last night. Thought it was good. Brought me back. I probably would have attended but I was in Europe that summer. Bummer. One of my colleagues at work attended and she has some great stories.

I rented the "real" documentary from Netflix. I was 17 at the time and didn't know about it until it was in the news.

I had the duty at the firehouse those days. darn

I wasn't born until 1973 unfortunately have only been able to enjoy these thru the movies and tv!

Growing up, this was and still is a big focus of my music likes - Hendrix, the Dead (did get to see them 15 times with Jerry), Big Brother, etc.

Cool stuff,

I was 4 at the time, but curiously enjoy a lot of bands from the sixties. Have recently been listening again to one of them in depth. The name: PROCOL HARUM

A matter for another thread, for sure...

A Whiter Shade of Pale:)

She's fuddled my fancy, she's muddled me good
I've taken to drinking and given up food
I'm buying an island, somewhere in the sun
I'll hide from the natives, live only on rum...

(from A Rum Tale, song from the Grand Hotel album, 1973, one of my favorite all time albums):).

Cheers,
Paulo

Just caught this doc while on vacation. Wow, still blows me away every time. The theme song itself is hard to get out of my head.

I love the music more than anything. I thought Hendrix and the Who were on their game, Joe Cocker's Beatles take off is something else too.

Talked to my friend yesterday. She still has vivid memories. When she got home she took a bath and the tub turned brown! She watched the program the other night and she couldn't sleep the entire night because all these memories came back to her.

Woodstock? 1969? Did I miss something? Crud, can't remember much of anything before yesterday...
