Sergio Aguero of Man City had a heck of a day today against Tottenham Hotspurs: 4 goals! I believe he is now tied with Diego Costa of Chelsea for the league lead at 9.

Yesterday was the completion of another round of the Champions League and one Liverpool would rather forget. Liverpool 0, Real Madrid 3.

Real Madrid beat them like a drum in the first half, that's how bad it was. Ronaldo's goal was pure class and Benzema's first a simply great header. The third was probably due to some sloppy defending but, hey, we'll take it ^&cool

Balotelli was another no show and subbed out at the end of the first half. Liverpool played better in the second half but couldn't eke out a goal. Madrid got close a couple of times but no goals in the second half.

Olimpiakos continues to impress, beating Juventus 1 nil after having beaten the Spanish champions Athletico Madrid previously.

Arsenal managed to survive, scoring the winning goal in added time. Whew!

The class of the Champions League so far look like Bayern, Real and Barcelona. Should be interesting as we progress.

Saturday is this year's first installment of El Clasico, Real Madrid vs. Barcelona. All eyes will be glued on that game. Luis Suarez makes his return to competitive football, as added spice.
