World War I (3 Viewers)

That would be cool. Make sure to take some pics. Also be careful of fakes. I understand the WWII market is full of them.

Thanks Combat

I was worried about that too. Any ideas on where to go to find medals??

I don't think E-bay allows them to be sold. You should be able to find a good

Military Shop in D.C. where you could find what you are looking for. Germany

had daggers for all branches of military service, and just about anything you

could think of. They are cool and can be very expensive.

I have several Lugars which are beautiful firearms, and there are several

good books that can help identify your weapons by the various markings.

Gentlemen

I just finished watching FLYBOYS (2006) - it was a very good film on WWI

If you havent seen it - RENT IT or buy it like I did - I collect War DVDs.

Once you have watched all those great dogfights and WWI battlescenes - you will be chomping at the bit for the new K&C German Release :D

The movie has the usual Hollywood snob/love story - but, forget that - those dogfights and a Zepplin Blowing Up - OH WOW

Well - there you have it.

And the Germans all flew red triplanes! Hilarious hollywood bull. Rent The Blue Max.

Anybody have other ideas for World War I Medals - websites or stores?

Has anyone compared the WWI figures to the FoB figures to see if they could go together?

What is no one collecting World War I ?

Nothing to say about this great range ?

I'm loving the Germans but can't wait for the Tommys.I think this is going to be a huge range.Infantry, cavalry, artillery, planes the mind boggles!

Rob

To be honest The WWI range looks like a bit of a damp squib. I mean a whole lot of marching soldiers with rather unanimated persoanlity figures. The staff car looks OK. I am not that impressed with this inital offering

Truthfully, marching parade figures don't really do it for me either. I am fearful, however, that in the near future there are going to be action poses, and (gulp!) aircraft, at which point I will be hooked like a catfish.

I too would love some action figures and we know what K and C is capable of. I will wait for the action figures.

I guess to each his own. However, Andy did say that that the next release, later this year, would have Germans in action poses so we will all be happy.

Damian, btw, I have read the Guns of August, The Proud Tower and just about every book Ms. Tuchman wrote :) . Fantastic writer.

Brad
I agree she is a good author who recreates the atmosphere of the event she is describing. I look forward to Andy's action poses. I am sure they will be worth the wait

I,m not so interested in fighting poses for Ww 1.
The most interesting photos etc I personally have
seen are trench scenes ,with guys going about normal
life in terrible conditions. And columns of scots etc
marching to the front.
The combat photos form ww 1 are all pretty grim.

Trench Soldiers would be very cool

That would be a great scene to have in my office - "going over the top!"

I am very excited about this whole range.
