I seriously cannot recommend these kits to beginners and take my hat off to people like John Obee for having the skills and patience to build up these metal kits.

Thanks Victor,

I really appreciatethat comment :)

By the way, those guns should come out like this:

AND none of these are in my collection, i assembled and painted them for other collectors.

Hi Scott,

the bottom of the Mercs has a moulded label which says that it was copyrighted by Gowland and Gowland, 1953. Presumably these moulds get around.

Hi John,

thanks for those photos, useful for details (and inspiring!).

As mentioned before, I find these kits awkward to build. I've finally completed them.

Nice paintwork Victor,

are you also planning on adding a crew to each gun?

John

Victor,

though you may like to see the real gun ..... when Firepower was in Woolwich in 2008 when I was touring over there.

You can now see the parts that don have paintwork, like wheels, breech etc

Hope that is useful,

John

Hi John,

thanks for your inputs and those pics. I've noted on where some parts were not painted and I'll be detailing the guns further with these pics.
I do intend to build gun crews and place the guns on bases. I have other ready built guns to be deployed as well. So many projects and possibilities....hahaha.

I gave the French officer a base undercoat paint. He is to be painted as a Chasseurs Afrique officer circa 1918. I think the neck and head is a little too narrow to fit the cap. Also the right hand is shorter than the left hand (not seen here).
