It is very hard to buy ww1 tanks in Australia .You can get plastic kits no problem but any die cast or large scale hard to find.Does anyone no where one can pickup these great clasics in Australia .If I hold out maybe K&C will bring out one or two with there ww1 series.I am very interested in the A7V German tank .There is one on display at the Brisbane museum that was captured and brought home by the troops and what a large mean thing it is.Have any of you guys got any ww1 tanks and were did you get them.

K & C won't actually begin to make tanks until they get to that stage in the war; Andy is following things chronologically.

However, Old Northwest has made a very nice Renault in polystone (both a French and American version) and will be coming out with a Mark IV in the near future as well as a A7V. I saw the prototype for the Mark and it's very nice. I'm sure the A7V will also be very good. I will be picking up all three. If you look at the Old Northwest forum on this site you'll see some discussion and photos.

Toy Army Workshop also makes wonderful WWI Tanks. I don't know how to get them in Australia, but if you can contact the Guards Museum Toy Soldier Shop in London they sell them.

I have a wonderful large collection of Toy Army stuff, they made superb figures and i was very sad when they closed down.Shame.:(

I would hope that we could get Andy to put some Armor WW I cars and "Paris Troop Taxis" - that would be great. :D

Very interesting site, a keeper. This particular tank is interesting, http://www.landships.freeservers.com/fcm_2c.htm, as it was obviously a precursor of the Char B. It show how little French armament design had advanced by the time World War II started.

I agree, but the Char B has a nice look and feel to it imo. There are some nice armoured cars to choose from for the early part of the war.

Great site - thanks !

I really enjoyed it.

Ron, I came across it by chance. That guy certainly has talent to build all of those.

I think this would make a good model for K&C to make.

I really loved it - and you are correct - great truck! I hope Andy gets there soon - you can only parade around for so long ;)
