I found this on ebay, purportedly WW1 Turks -

I'm pretty sure the figures are Japanese WW2 and it was only now I realized that one of the accessories is some sort of jet fighter! So there's a reason the set is a cheap one......

Well at least you get a Turkish flag,they are HK Cheapo cloned WW2 Japanese.Really wish somebody WOULD do a WW1 set of Turks like AIP,TSSD,CTS,etc.

I don't think I agree that the figures depict WWII Japanese. The helmets do look like an attempt to depict the Turks' brimless helmet with its cloth cover. It looks like they may have a sort of turban wrapped around the rim, though it does look like it's intended to depict the flaps that were worn tied back.

It does look like one of the myriad sets available from Hong Kong and sold here in grocery stores and dollar stores, intended for true play out in the backyard, rather than for use in accurately depicting history. These are today's green army men, that so many of us had as kids.

Yes looking closer at the OR's I think that is supposed to show a "Turban" but they are cloned from WW2 Japanese,Wish there was more of the Header card shown and they could have used a better colour(Khaki)

Reamsa did WW1 Turks a number of years ago. They were part of the Lawrence of Arabia series and went along with their Arabs. They can still be picked up from various sellers. I think ATS still sells them, as he sells all sorts of Reams items.
