Thanks for posting Toddy. It's a real shame that these rare as hens teeth Jerry AFV's are rusting away in Syria. If the country wasn't so unstable then I'm sure some could be recovered and restored.

Hi Toddy,

I know that the American Armor School got several Renault FT 17s that were sitting in the Afghan wastes and are in the process of restoring at least one from the 4 they found. I will have to see if any of my buddies at Knox know where they went.

Thanks guys for the feedback, yeah it's really amazing where some of these tanks pop up and I'd be keen to know if any get restored. I was especially surprised at all the WW1 tanks/vehicles lying about in both countries getting rusty and the old Panzer IV's etc are incredible to view.
