Here are some pics of another set in my Beau Geste WWI collection.
Beside the most attractive sculpting and painting of their sets, I really enjoy that they come up with most unique subjects for their releases.
The one shown here is set no. BG127, Strelets, First Blue Coat Division of Secheviye, Ukraine, 1918.

A fine looking set. The drummer boy and officer are very expressive in their animation. -- Al

This set "jumped" at me too, Randy, when looking through Pete's show pictures :smile2:
Some WWI Indian Army sets would be a nice addition to the already spectacular range.

Guys - it's a brand new set that I brought to the Chicago show:
339 - Indian Cyclist Corps, British Army, WWI

You were really fast at spotting it :)

It wasn't me although I have wanted them for a long time too. UCLA67 does not collect Beau Geste.

Write Julie: julie@treefrogtreasures.com and have her order what you want from Ana. I think there is a good chance that way but at full price, of course.

Sets 154 & 155

I missed seeing post this in June since we were on our way to Eastern Europe for 18 days. Although it is probably true that I do not collect Beau Geste on a regular basis, that is not to say that I don't have some sets in my collection. The main reason is that I have so many similar Hiriart sets already that it doesn't make a lot of sense to duplicate them with Beau Geste's versions. Also, over the years, Beau Geste has been creaping up in size from their 54mm origins. They now appear to me to be somewhere between 54mm and 60mm. I am really a purist regarding classic, 54mm, glossy toy soldiers. That being said, I love what Ana is doing regarding subject matter and execution.

Here is a list of the Beau Geste sets that I have in my collection: 120B French Saxe Regt, 1720; 144 Saxon Inf, 1893; 177 Russian Navy, 1900; 179 French Zouaves, 1900; 186 Italian Bersaglieri, 1900; 235 Albanian Fusiliers, 1808; 243 French Lee Regt Band, 1720; and 288 WWI Bulgarian Reservists. I have also bought at least a half a dozen sets that I have recommended to my not-on-line collector friend Bob Walker, but I guess vicarious purchases don't count.

La Dolce Vita: Italy May 1st 1915

Fourteen days before Italy entered World War I on the side of the Allies, an Italian Infantry band passes a town in the Tuscan hills. Tomorrow they are scheduled to play for the wedding of Capitano Enrico Ferrari and Carlotta Clemenza, the youngest daughter of the town's mayor.
