Hi all, I finally found my Father's WWII enlistment papers, I'm trying to find out more information on where his unit served, if anyone can help I would appreciate it very much, below are his papers with his Unit 896 Army Air Corps signal corps

Hey Sammy

A little difficult to read but it does show he had service in Northern France and the Rhineland so at least that provides some starting point- it also eliminates the PTO and CBI theaters. Im also thinking the 896th was his training company and that he most likely deployed with a different unit.

Also- if I am reading that correctly, it appears as if he was a welder- I would expect to perhaps see him in a maintenance company/battalion or he may have been attached to a unit. Im not sure he was in a Signals unit as I would expect to see radio operator of some sorts in the MOS block.
