Hi friends! Just wondering if anyone out there with the new Stalingard release has had a chance to put them next to K&C figures yet ? I just would like and update on size comparison!
Thanks

its rather unfortunate you missed those lively threads.
but in short, no ,they are not comparable in either shape, size, form or style.

If you do a search of the First Legion threads, you should find an extensive discussion about scale issues and so forth.

Daruss, Check out the First Legion web-site....They have comparison photos for you to gauge size differences......The short of it is they are smaller then K/C and they do not go together well at all........The "Good News" is they are probably the best and most realistic WWII soldiers I have ever seen......I have purchased some of them.....they are not inexpensive.....But the quality is un-matched IMO.....I will purchase more..... super hi quality but you must make a commitment to this line as it stands alone.... they are unlike any other manufacturer's product......Best regards Vezzolf

Fine, then could someone please answer me this,, Is the FORCES OF VALOR 1/32 FLAK 88 gun compatible with the figures ??
Thanks

I don't know about that since I do not have any forces of valor products....First Legion has said they exspect to produce german armour/artillery very soon.....maybe we will see a 88mm Flak Gun with crew from First Legion....That would be an amazing item.....Their figures seem to size up well with the figarti tiger tank released a few years ago.......The Stug should be released pretty soon......

Actually, I assume Daruss was referencing that we said we would be scaling up the latest figures a bit over those in the the first release. If so, yes, the newest figures starting with GERSTAL010 and moving forward are a few mm taller, but they're still not as tall as most K&C figures and they remain stylistically very different. I'll be updating the scales page on our website at some point in September to add in some of the newest figures.

The discussion was even more extensive before a certain moderator deleted the more 'lively' comments ;) :D

Matt, The size/scale of the Stalingrad Series is excellent as is......I trust that those of us who are satisfied with your product and are making purchases(investing $) can depend on First Legion to "maintain consistency" of scale/size within the Stalingrad series.......These figures will NEVER be compatible with K/C or Figarti......They are in a class by themselves......ie better .........They are EXCELLENT and the BEST figures out there......And their size is "PERFECT"........Thank you Vezzolf

Hi, Frank,

First thanks for your comments on our figures.

I think my comment may be causing some confusion. Our decision to "scale up" the figures from the first release was actually made at the end of last year before we had even released anything or announced the range. It had nothing to do with any comments that have been made since our launch either on this forum or off and certainly nothing to do with trying to be compatible with other WWII figure makers.

We agree 100% and have stated it over and over again that the figures, even if the same height, won't be compatible with what's out there because of the quality and the style. The scaling up is very slight and only about 2mm or so and everything is perfectly consistent with the first releases. In fact, GERSTAL010 was the first release of "scaled up" figures and not a single customer has commented on them in terms of the scaling. Your yourself in another thread said it is your favorite of our WWII sets. ;) The same is true for many of our WWII customers, the set is their favorite release. The figures in that set are just a tiny bit heftier and tiny bit taller than the first releases. Again, it's barely noticeable and everything will remain consistent.

Matt

Thanks Matt, For the clarification......Your product is "without match"....so I personnally will not even try to match them up with with other manufacturers WWII figures......and yes the GERSTAL010 is perfect in style and size.....Regards Vezzolf
