As far as i know here in th UK we can't get that set. I would love to get the Dunkirk DVD and D-Day to Berlin (the BBC version)

Eazy,

I can't believe that. What a bummer. I finished watching the Dunkirk DVD on Sunday. Outstanding. It's a combination of re-enactment and film footage. Superbly done.

Yeah i saw it on the BBC when it was first shown. I thought it was really well done but unfortunately there's no sign of a DVD release for it over here yet unless i've missed it.

I narrow it down to these two DVD collections. Which one would you pick?

World at War - 26 Episode Series Collection (2004, DVD) 11 DVDs
Narrator...SIR LAURENCE OLIVIER

BBC History of World War II (2005, DVD) 12 DVDs

Hi,
I am not familiar with the BBC history of WW2. But I have the World at War, narrated by Sir Laurence Olivier, the VHS version, a documentary which I first saw here in Portugal on TV in the seventies. I think everything about the World at War is quite outstanding, from the music ( unforgettable ) to the narration, to the amazing collection of real films and interviews researched and brought to this documentary from every part of the world, including Russia, Japan and Germany. I also believe it is extremely objective, according to the best traditions of the old BBC. A gem really.
