Well Sammy, it just doesn't seem like we are getting any love for our dios as I didn't get any posts on my Rome in Alexandria setup- so, you and I can scratch each others backs!!:D

I really like what you did. I think if you are going to keep it as a permanent display, you would want to put in a lot more trees. My bulge dio is in its infancy right now but I have some pretty neat ideas brewing up.

Give us some shots that show the overall display.

Sammy,
I think you have the makings of a brilliant diorama there. I also like the Build-a-Rama items as they add an extra dimension to your scenario. If I have time while I'm home on this occasion, I'm intending doing another Winter dio - this time from the American angle and I'm going to incorporate a couple of B-a-R items in it. Hopefully I'll get it finished and some photos posted before I have to return to putting rice on the table and some new tiles on the roof of the family pagoda.....:):);):):)
Once again - great stuff. The Diorama Section of this forum is simply buzzing and once PandaGen1 gets back into gear it'll get even better (hint-hint Kevin).

Cheers
H

thanks for the compliments guys, it definitly needs more trees, and i like to get the m-5 tractor pulling a piece of winter armour, which hopefully andy and the gang will release sometime soon,i just started a d-day diorama so i'm kinda working on both at the same time, can't wait to get the new big red one guys and that mounted 88!!!...sammy

Thats a cool and large dio. Is the snow loose?

hi alex, the snow is loose, i probabley have gone through three containers of the woodland snow!! but i like it, it really gives it a authentic look..sammy

Sammy, Great set up.

How do you keep all the snow in the places you want it? Is it flocked or just sprinkled on and no fans or open windows in the room? I am looking at a winter dio as well and the snow issue is, I believe, critical.

Again, nice job. I especially like the convoy of US vehicles.

hi michael,..i think the snow stays in place because i have sprinkled alot of it on the diorama itself, i actually run the ceiling fans on in that room sometime, i did adjust the air conditioner vents to make sure they weren't blowing directly on the table, and if i move new guys here or there and desturb the snow i just sprinkle out a little more to replace it,thanks for the kind words...sammy

I think the base for his snow is a white cloth like material, he has sprinkled the 'woodland' snow over the top and it would tend to stick to the material.

you are correct oz, the base is a matting you can get at most hobby stores it does have a grainy feel to it to make the snow hold into place,it just took alot of snow to finish it!!.....sammy

My local K & C dealer uses a similar cloth for his shop display, I must get some for my 'Winter German' shelf display.

I like the little K & C Kettenkrad set you have pictured and it is now one of my favourites. I bought the Collectors Showcase version initially but when it arrived it was to big (1/24 scale) to go with my Afrika Korps display. I then decided to get the K & C version and was lucky to find it locally. Out of curiosity I checked the measurements and the K & C Kettenkrad is right on for 1/30 scale and it is great value having three figures.
