Ken a somewhat macabre question but have Britain's considered a range of "dead" ACW Yanks and Rebs for Civil War dio builders?

I have noticed and have purchased all of your new sets which have a number of figures that have been hit by shell or shot but only a couple include the odd "prone" figure lying either dead or mortally wounded. A few sets of gut-wrenching dead poses I am positive would be much appreciated and prove very popular with Britain's ACW collectors.

To give you a yard-stick and dare I mention the "opposition" but Conte released 3 excellent sets of dead Union/Iron Brigade and Confederates a year or so ago-I have a couple of sets of each- and unlike some of their sets in their ACW series these "dead" sets even at re-sale prices command top dollar on all auction sites I have tracked proving their immense popularity. Currently I know of no other metal manufacturer offering ACW sets of realistic dead/prone figures.

Hello There! This is a fair question to ask. As you might know, I worked for Conte for the first few years he produced white metal figures. The three figure Iron Brigade casualty set was one that I sculpted as part of a larger Iron Brigade release at that time. These figures were a natural addition to the special 'Eyeball to Eyeball' sets I also sculpted, which included Iron Brigade members. Later casualty releases sculpted by others were in response to additional requests by collectors...but more importantly, they filled gaps in a rather large line of ACW that was already created for Mr. Conte.
Over the last 24 months Richard Walker and I have been creating several new series for W.Britain/1st Gear that required basic poses and arms of service to build around before we could offer less mainstream subjects such as dead, wounded, support services, civilians, buildings and unusual equipment.
These new W.Britain/1st Gear sets, the W.Britain/Ertle ACW sets of 1998/99, the ACW sets of ONWTC while I was a part owner and the older Conte Collectibles ACW all work very well together, as I had my hand in all of them.
This year should see many collectors requests fulfilled including yours. Both Richard Walker and I have been involved in ACW living history for years, and we have the additional advantage of my work with full scale artillery, and museum display work. Hopefully our interest and first hand knowledge of the uniforms, equipment and tactics of this period shows in the products that you see at your dealers. We always welcome suggestions and comments for new additions to existing lines and even if you do not see them in the next catalog, we have taken note. I am sure you would love to see our long list of subjects and poses for future development...a list that just keeps growing!
We will both be at the London show in December so perhaps we can chat if you can make it!

Thanks for the answer Ken on my "dead" troops suggestion and as an avid ACW buff I whole-heartedly agree that the latest Britain's ACW metal figures are the best and most accurately detailed on the market today. I have recently purchased the new Union artillery set which is absolutely superb.

You have whetted my appetite with your's and Richard's proposed list for future releases and as I will be at the London show I will definitely introduce myself and hopefully you will have time to fill me in on a few more details of your proposals. Keep up with the sterling work and I look forward to meeting you both!.
