Of course, there are some other classics....

"When Santa visits his paisans/With Dominick he'll be
Because the reindeer cannot climb/Da hills of It-aly"

and this....

http://youtu.be/MbhzqoYYROA

"Why he didn't shoot, well, we'll never know
Or was it the bells from the village below?"

and what would it be without Burl Ives? Though, there's another arrangement that I like better, but I haven't been able to find it:

And I'll close with these, another pair of classics, much as I hate musicals and show tunes:

Dick Shawn is great!

and:

Famed cartoon voice artist George Irving providing the voice for Heat Miser.

I always like how the same melody is used for both, but how tempo is used to differentiate. Snow Miser's theme has a faster ragtime tempo, while Heat Miser's is more bluesy and slower.

My grandmother's generation, they'd get together, have some wine and some beer, and sing songs like "It Ain't Gonna Rain No More" and polkas. My generation, we sing the Snow Miser and Heat Miser themes. Different times....

If only I had that much left, that's a style I'd willingly go for. With the amount of meths that Rob and Kevin have palmed me off with, on the rare occassions it turns out to be their round, it's a wonder I've got any left. As it is, the remainder is classified as 'highly flammable' {sm2}

Ah yes, as one who is becoming ever more folically impaired myself .... I feel your pain. Well, as the old saying goes .... hair today, gone tomorrow.:(:tongue:
