Your entire life is an ILLUSION (2 Viewers)

Really....I disagree with the Budda....If you stand in front of a speeding truck does it exist??:rolleyes2:.....You better believe it does or your atoms (which do not exist:wink2:) will be dispersed and rather painfully.....Instead of meaningless empty philosophies of eastern existentialism and seeking to find and embrace emptiness will not lead to the truth...... I would suggest seeking Jesus Christ with all your heart and meditate on His Words then we will find meaning and purpose in life and only then we will know the real TRUTH.....Seeking the mind of Christ and the indwelling of the Holy Spirit of God will result in a spiritual rebirth and enlightenment and give significant meaning to this life.

I follow Jesus Christ and his teaching as well, and in all the spiritual traditions there is no contradiction: only the practice can be little different, but the kindness, compassion, ethical behavior, the distance from the temptations and the materialism, leaving our selfishness for altruism are exactly the same...

What is really interesting is to know that being altruistic in the long term gives us happiness and being selfish, in the long term makes us unhappy.:)

Once again Poppo I can dig it.

I follow my gut instinct, my heart and my stomach. Seriously though, I have been to the Far-East, the Middle East and a few places in between. I found my self understanding their culture through their beliefs, wether they were in the Eyes of Buddha, Allah, or what have you. So, I read their "good book(s)" and dug it and left it at that. I guess the best thing I can come up with is that sometimes religion can divide people, but spirituality can unite us.

So, with that said I frown upon those who proclaim their God as the "one and only" blah, blah and "done in the name of..." blah, blah. I met a Mayan down in Belize and believe you me he believes in a whole other God...and world. So, respect man, to all who believe and I live by a mantra that involves waking up in the morning and if you find your self unhappy you better make it your LIFE's priority to be happy.
