I think the Chaffee will take the number one armour spot, but I'll exclude it at the mo, as I haven't got it yet, so:
Armour: DD50 Hellcat
Figure set: WS58 'New' Fighting Patrol

the jeep's and the 6 pounder from the mg serrie:)

The Hummel SP Gun and my British Rev War Artillery set. Leadmen

Stug III Ausf. B (Battle of France)

That's interesting Rod- I was looking at that one the other night and considering it for my Russian mish mash. For whatever reason, the FoB series doesn't seem to get a lot of discussion.

This is an impossible question to answer- the short list:

1 Any of the SF01 set
2. The Cpt. Miller for the DDay 01 or 02 set
3. Yanks 03- trooper grilling a hot dog with his pup
4. the set of three Iraqi's getting capped
5. "Jes make sure he's dead"
6. The one long retired Iwo two man set with the Marine beating the tar out of the Japanese trooper with his E Tool or bayonet.
7 The Egyptian Chariot
8 The 101st para with the mohawk from DD01 or DD02

CC, Honestly I am not a big fan of FoB but I'm a big fan of the StugIII. I found both, AK and FoB Stug'sIII a very nice piece to be use on the early Barbarossa campaign.

best regards.

Rod.

I like Rommel's Greif command car. If you place it in the middle of some other DAK pieces you can almost hear the Dessert Fox.....

Mine is the OLD GUARD ARTILLERY SET :D

Great detail work and the action is wonderful.

That is a good one and right up there with my favorite Napoleonic. The only question is which one. I am going to cut loose on the K&C that I bought. You know what ? It would have to be the Christmas set from 2006:D

Aside from Warbirds (Typhoon), my favorite is the Matilda.

The Napoleonic set 'Seizing the Colours' is one of my favourite pieces at the moment.

I think the crusader series (Richard The Lionheart) on horseback is my favorite piece!

A King does not kill a King.

That is a wonderful set,i've been tempted to get it so many times as a stand alone set.

I broke and got it a while back. I'm adding extra Scots Greys and French Infantry, bit by bit. Great set.

Simon,
The Scots Greys are awesome when displayed as a complete set. But I'm sure you know that anyway.

Cheers

They do look good don't they? I'm 4 down (+ a del prado Scots Grey), just another 4 to go. Hopefully I'll manage it with my bit by bit purchasing strategy before Andy retires them

Retire them..?? I wish he'd add more. I might just review my self-imposed "No-More-Naps-For-A-While" financial mode/resolve.
Cheers

Simon the K&C scotts greys figures actually mix pretty well with the frontline and niena figures also size wise and you can find them pretty cheap from time to time on ebay.
I like the K&C scotts greys but my favorites are the cuirassier figures and the black watch highlander figures. I like the french grenadiers also.

Every one says how great the coldstream figures are but i wasn,t crazy about them and they have been so over done already by every toy soldier maker under the sun. I,m looking forward to finally seeing some non british figures to battle my K&C french figures. Not that I have anything against british troops but they,ve been so over done already by every company under the sun while all the other nations of the war always get over looked.

I hope andy does some russian cavalry also.
Heres a picture of the different scotts greys mixed together for a size up!

Impressive charge Tim!
I'll look out for some of the others - they do look good together.

Cheers
