My favorite figure of all time has to be an original Britains American Revolution swoppet Colonial scout. That figure just just sums up "Last of the Mohicans" for me.
I would have to say Britains Deetail. They were the first figs I ever got as a young boy. I remember quite vividly walking into some of the toy soldier/ hobby shops when I was living in Germany at the time and just being blown away by all the tables of mounted knights and WW2 figures. It was just a great experience.
This is hard, I grew up on the Marx playsets, Fort Apache and Battle ground and the Blue and Gray sets. But I have to say, the Conte WWII figs are the best figures and poses I have ever seen. The new injection molded GI's are the best figures out there. So I will say, the Conte GI's. I agree the Airfix 7th were way ahead of their time. Mike
Just about any of my kilted soldiers But, I really like them all . Britains, Imperial, Hocker,Tradition,Steadfast,ANI. I really really like the Durbar stuff. And, I enjoy casting and painting my own
Britains Hyderabad elephant and my own 17th Bengal Lancers
I think the Airfix and Marx playsets got me going. I have most sets of Airfix which I painted. Also, got me started painting figures and making models. John
German Para's -- one of my favorites
I think possibly my favourite all time figure is the Aifix plastic 8th Army officer running and firing his revolver at the same time.Brings back happy childhood memories.
