Zulu War wishlist (1 Viewer)

Looks like I got one off of my wishlist :)

You must be referring to the tents. :)

Once I've seen them in finished form, I may be tempted to use 1 or 2 of these also. Have held off buying the ones from the other mfr. in the past (JG or BAR...sorry I can't recall).

You got it Dave, I was contemplating the JG but held out for WB. I prefer to keep everything to one manufacturer.

I see your avatar is of Rik Mayall....fan of the Young Ones??

Yes, they were JG tents weren't they? Have passed on them at big discount prices more than once mostly because I lacked enough good matte figures to use for Isandlwana I guess.

As for Rik the P***k, yes I used to enjoy that show , though have not seen it in 15 years or more. He is a transitional avatar and was one of several finalists applying for the job.

I always wanted WB to do a vignette that captured Simon Smith's painting of Charlie Pope's Company but the more I think about it the more I believe that the best way to go would be Durnford's last stand. This allows for a number of volunteer forces to be represented as well as the 24th. You'll have wagons, oxen and tents and you can even have the artillery crew and limbers racing off in the background all the while being harrassed. The rocket crew was too far away from the main assault and I like to build my vignettes as accurately as I can in as small a space as I can so I would probably give the rocket crew a miss (just my personal preference)!

I'm sure Isandlwana your wish will come true as WB ventures into the next stage of their Zulu War series.

Do you know something we don't Lt???

Isandlwana it just that I have faith that you and I and others won't be disappointed and will be very pleased in what's in store for us. Haven't been wrong in the past;);););):D:D:D
