These set ups are outstanding!

What an awesome warbird. Grandpa remembered seeing them blast Suribachi with rockets and bombs just to add to the incredible carnage from ships like his destroyer and, most deafeningly, the Battleship USS Texas. Must've been quite the sight. Not that he enjoyed it. He was done with the military when the war ended.
Keep up the great pics & stories.

When we did the photoshoot for the volume on K&C Warbirds, between my collection, the Late Larry Lo's magnificent collection, the late Chuck Karen's collection and I believe Brad Lewin and Harvey Hammer's collections, Kevin photographed more than 100 of these wonderful warbirds. I still have a 12 foot by 6 foot RAF Airfield diorama in the Aerodrome Room of my collection, a room in which I display approximately 70 K&C Warbirds and another 70 of so Heco Tinplate Models aircraft (the planes suspended in the air are Heco Tinplate Models, the stick of descending paratroopers are K&C). All of the vehicles and buildings are K&C (the control tower in the center of the first photo was custom made for me by Gordon Neilson when K&C launched its custom diorama production back in 1999) and Heco as well.

Here are a few more shots of some of the big aircraft on the K&C portion of my RAF Airfield, a Bristol Blenheim, a Douglas A20 Boston, a B17 and a Horsa Glider:

70 Heco, as many K&C and dioramas by Gordon as well... An Aerodrome room! Fabulous collections. Like a book on warbirds. I enjoyed thoroughly. So did Dad. Well done Louis! If you have more pics from the collections you photographed they'd be great to see.
