Those who have been in this hobby awhile might remember this large dio done by Cliff Sanderson.
The figures are 54mm in scale.
It was featured in July 1975 Military Modeling magazine.
I believe it is now housed at the Royal Welsh Regimental Museum.

Yes, this diorama of Rorke's Drift is in the museum in Brecon, Wales.

I visited about 10 years ago, a wonderful couple of hours, and well worth the time to see all of the regimental history there

Really awesome work, Dragoon! I don’t collect this range, but your display is awesome and very dramatic. Lots to take in and enjoy 😎

- Oh no, I didn't create this, I'm just posting it. The figures and diorama were made by Cliff Sanderson several decades ago.

Well it certainly inspired me to revisit my Zulu with a revived interest thanks to JJD. Robin.

That is an excellent portrayal of Rorke's Drift. Looks like you have a figure for every actual participant in the battle, both Brit and Zulu.

Rorke's Drift is the greatest single battle that the British army ever fought.

Almost every other battle fought by the British army included either allies or the help of the Royal Navy in some form.

Rorke's Drift was just the British army.

A handful of red coats and three thousand opponents.

No Prussians or anyone else coming to help.

No Royal Navy or Royal Airforce to help.

Just Tommy Atkins.

Great dioramas.

Absolutely stunning dioramas… you make mine look amatuer but i uave something to aspire to. I love your video terp… especially the way the story unfokds

Fantastic, inspirational diorama. I started with 54mm white metal Hinchcliffe figures, now history with these new releases.
