I have several sets of AE078, "Egyptian Sandstone Blocks" which are very useful for making walls for tombs and temples. However, their dimension doesn't allow the creation of a perpendicular vertical finished edge. It's always stepped. This morning I decided to try to cut two of the stones in order to achieve the results I wanted. I scribed the measurement I wanted on all four sides of each block making sure that the lines were square and met. Placing the block in a vise, I used a thin bladed "razor saw" to cut on the scribed lines. Worked like a charm. The block pieces circled in red were from the two whole blocks that I cut.

Wow, would not ever have considered attempting a tricky job like this. Amazing Mike. Robin.

I wouldn't have either but I woke up at 5a.m. this morning thinking of the possibility. So I decided to sacrifice one of my Sandstone Block sets to give it a go. It actually was easier than I thought It would be.

Yes I have been known to wake and immediately start thinking about some setup that was possible and biting at the bit to get out to the man cave and put it into reality. Well I guess there are worse things in life 😀. Now waiting on your Indy scene expected shortly. Robin.

Good Work Mike👍🏻
Just goes to show sometimes, things are easier than we think !

used an electric hacksaw to cut mine. slow but also works a treat. dont know why K&C didnt make one.

You are a genius. The Egyptians would be proud of you

Thank you gentlemen. I have now "sacrificed" four of my Egyptian Sandstone Blocks all with similar satisfactory results. It would be nice if K&C would consider making an accessory set of blocks that would achieve the same purpose.
