This is one of my favourite series and periods. So interesting that 7 or 8 European powers banded together to oppose the Boxers and then the Manchu Imperial army. I love the colour snd variety of uniforms. I especially love that there were so many sailors and marines in action as this exploded and any available force was sent to help

Thanks guys. This is my favourite diorama in a small ikea cabinet. Will have a designated toy soldier space when my rebuild is completed in about 14months
 
Looks great Jason and really captured the fighting scenes in 55 days at Peking !
The Team miniatures figures are quite superb.
 
Nice one Jason. I have most of the TM offering plus Heritage boxers and some Regal sets including a commission build Chinese dragon gun and Ox team limber.

I have Austrian sailors and even a solo US marine from Thomas Gunn.

Great colourful era to collect. I did an 8 page article in Toy Soldier Collector and Model Figure magazine many years ago. Even had the centrefold picture.

Sadly most of the collection is currently in New Zealand but it will emerge out of storage onto shelves one day or be sold.

Keep collecting my friend.
 
Certainly a marvellous collection Jason and as indicated, quite colourful. Robin.

I bet you cant wait for that day. Similar to you when we finish our rebuild i will be able to display my collection and sell a few things if no space or not needed.
I missed the TG US marine, i had him ordered and the guy stuffed my order up and i missed him. He was a SGt? A character piece if i recall. I never saw the TG Austrian sailors. Were they c1900 figures? Specifically for the Boxer Rebellion? Do you have any pics? Would love to see that

Ah Austrians were by Regal. I will see if I have any pics on my laptop.

Oh awesome. Yes please. I went to the shop in Greytown a few times. One time we went and had drinks with the Farley bros after they closed the shop for the day. I dont thin’ they have the shop anymore, its a shame.
 
Thanks Carlos, i love this Colonial period…. Boxer Rebellion, Zulu War, Boer War…… Its all politically incorrect now but you cant change history

No closed by the time I moved to Greytown They lived only 5 doors down from me and I commissioned many sets from them including a few one offs.

It was our weekend residence (had apartment in Welly for work) and I used to love going down to the town to pick up fresh croissants from the French bakery and then stop of at the brothers for coffee and brandy while looking at progress on my latest commission. Then back home for a late Saturday breakfast on the veranda. Happy days.

Not quite the same back in the UK. Although just taking a quick 5 day break in Copenhagen. One of the benefits of living back in the motherland. Just over an hours flight from our regional airport and as cheap as chips. Beer is very expensive in Denmark though.

AWESOME DISPLAY, LOVE ALL THE ANIMATED FIGHTING SCENCES. THE FIERCENESS OF THE STRUGLLE IS REALLY BROUGHT OUT IN THIS EXCELLENT DIORAMA OF YOURS. LOVE THE TEAM FIGURES.
I WANT TO PUT UP A DISPLAY BUT CAN'T DECIDE ON THE FIGURES TO USE. I HAVE ALL THE TROPHY, AND A BUNCH OF SOLDIERS OF THE WORLD AND THEN TEAM MINIATURES CAME ALONGIN MATTE
AND THEY ARE EXCELLENT FIGURES. GUESS I AM A SAP FOR THIS WAR SINCE WATCHING 55 DAYS IN PEKING
