Roy;
Hope you had an Excellent Birthday “Across the Pond” !
The only excuses I have for missing by a day are “Olde Age” and being in Illinois for big doings with family.
Wishing you the best.

Hi all,

Thank you so much Floyd, Louis, Robin, Steve and Mike for your very kind Birthday messages and as ever much appreciate you taking the time.

I'm afraid I have pulled away from collecting (except for the K&C Falklands series Robin)! So do not visit the site so much. BUT when I do, I always appreciate your terrific
and entertaining posts - and enjoy seeing all the latest additions to your collections.

Apologies for the late reply - my day went very well - amongst my presents was "World on Fire" by Amanda Foreman, about British involvement in the American Civil War.
It's going to be a BIG read........

Cheers!

Roy

Hi Floyd,
Very kind of you - as always, thank you. It is indeed interesting. A huge tome it will take some time to get through!
I have read a little so far and find it fascinating. Hit a spot with myself, some very interesting things about
Slavery from the British /American perspective in the early chapters. It would do well for the ever protesting people
over here re writing British history to read it and digest.
