The Brewers did an interesting thing during game 3 against the Dodgers. They basically took every pitch until they had two strikes to run up the pitch count of the starter. I buttume they did that hoping to get to the Dodgers bullpen earlier in the game. I can see the WS going six. Anything is possible in a short series. A lucky bounce, poor defensive play or a starter who gets shelled can be the difference. The Dodgers can go into an offensive funk or their bullpen can start blowing games like they did all season. The formula has been winning on the road with starters who go six or more innings giving up less than two runs and shortening the bullpen.

Best of luck Doug, your team is a wagon, a model for all other franchises to follow, but owners being owners, they will cry poormouth and keep losing to the Dodgers.

Ohtani is a generational talent, every at bat is a must see as you don't know what he'll do next to raise the WOW factor, he's basically the face of baseball at this point, Japan must be beaming with pride.

Doug:

Echoing George, good luck.

Even though I think the Dodgers are going to win this I will be watching hoping to see some great baseball.

Fun fact for you; the Blue Jays scored more runs in the 6th inning last night than the Brewers scored in the entire NLCS.

Was the Dodgers pitching that good or were the Brewers that bad; somewhere in the middle is the truth.

That lefty stiff they brought in from the bullpen had two pitches going last night, balls and home runs.

The Dodgers' motto last night was if you are going to lose, then lose big. The Blue Jays did a great job fouling off good pitches and putting balls in play. Not many strikeouts or chasing pitches outside the zone. It put Snell in a tough spot and ran up the pitch count to get to the bullpen that got shelled. I've never heard of a single player on the Toronto team. That short, tubby guy Kirk seems like a real ballplayer, though. The Dodgers offense has been in a funk despite winning games. Their starting pitchers have carried the day.

One game does not a series make, but yes, if the Dodgers offense continues to nap, they will be in trouble.

Betts, Ohtani, Freeman all need to get hot as well.

That was an amazing game from Yamamoto. A must win performance. The guy with the "I bet on us" t-shirt behind the plate must be unhappy. A friend of Chauncey Billups? Onward to LA.

The commentators last night mentioned that the Blue Jays are batting over .300 in the playoffs while the other playoff teams are hitting clos to .200. They certainly don't make it easy to get out of any inning. I think the Dodgers take 2 of 3 in LA and then it's anyone's guess what happens.

I am admittedly not a fan who has followed this year. That said, I think Game 1 was a fluke IMO. I think LA possibly wins next 3. Just have a hunch. The cynic in me says it goes 7 games though b/c 5 would mean a huge loss of ad revenue.............:)

The Dodgers were rusty in Game 1.

Baseball is an everyday sport and those 6 days off really slowed them down.

The Game 2 Dodgers are who that team is.

I've never understood why Ohtani leads off for the Dodgers. It gets him more at bats, but it means that no one is on base his first time up, and then he follows a guy hitting less than .100 in the playoffs for the rest of the game. Betts should lead off and let Ohtani follow him.

That was a huge game last night. The Dodgers had guys pitching who I didn't even know were on the team. It felt like a game the Dodgers had to win more than Toronto. The Blue Jays just need one in LA to stay alive. The crowd seemed remarkably subdued given the stakes but maybe that is a result of playing so early on a Monday night in LA.

Have to hand it to Toronto, they are resilient, after that nutpunch loss the night before, they could have folded their tent, but they did not and now have home ice advantage with the series coming down to a best 2 out of 3.

Vlad is a beast, as is Ohtani................

The Dodgers put the bull in bullpen. Those guys have stunk all season. Their offense is also struggling. Pages is hitting less than .100. He is due. I didn't think LA was going to win four in a row but it's a must win for the Dodger tonight.

That was complete domination from beginning to end by the Blue Jays. I suppose it's possible that Yamamoto throws a great game in Toronto to make it a seven-game series but the Dodgers offensive struggles and terrible bullpen don't make me optimistic.

I am shocked honestly, the Dodgers certainly seem to have the right mix of talent, just need to get hot for 2 games

If Ohtani did not hit that game tying home run in the 7th inning of game 3 (just as Smoltz was saying how important location is..........and the moron throws a meatball middle middle) this series would be over.

You have Yamamoto going vs the Blue Jays ace; find a way to win and get it to game 7 where anything is possible.

Mookie Betts is having himself a series huh; yikes.

He came up small in the 2018 WS run for the RS as well, for a guy who rakes all year long, when the lights shine brightest, he shrinks under pressure.

The Dodgers have a 300 million plus payroll and spend 89.95 on their bullpen, their starters should sue for non support.

Again, just get it to a game 7 and also, their bats need to wake up ASAP.
