A late model Panzer III Ausf. M from the 6th Panzer Division, with accompanying Heer infantry, move past a knocked out Soviet T-70 tank somewhere on the southern front of the Battle of Kursk, July-August, 1943.

First Legion’s Kursk Panzer III Ausf. M is a stunning model and one of my favorites. The walking Heer Infantry figures and Soviet T-70 tank from the Stalingrad range make the perfect accompaniments.

The vehicles and figures are all First Legion products; the base is a section of modified terrain matting from Build-a-Rama; and the road sign is actually from 21st Century Toys!

Another winner Tman 🏆 well done Paul 👏

That T-70 never stood a chance. Excellent diorama, T-man. Panzer III and figures are equally impressive. Nicely done!
Edit: those old 21st Century pieces always seem to pop up. They certainly made some cool stuff.

Tristan, you have given us another very nicely done display for our viewing pleasure featuring an AFV from your outstanding collection of German Armor. Kudos 🏆

Thanks everyone! I do greatly appreciate all the kind comments on my work and it says a lot about this hobby by how supportive the collectors are of one another’s work 😃

This scene actually went through a few “drafts” before I finally got it to look the way I wanted. Originally I used the same light sand on the road to also cover the figure bases, but that made the bases stand out even more, especially when viewed from above. The solution was to use darker soil that blended better with the grass to cover the bases. That change made a mediocre-looking scene into a good one. Here’s a pic of the initial version of my display where one can see how much the sand around the bases didn’t really hide anything…

The line “This scene actually went through a few “drafts” before I finally got it to look the way I wanted.” is a reflection of your dedication to this hobby.

Great stuff.
