Rams fans dancing up a storm over that epic win over the Seachickens...............you go Rams fans............

Those penalties are so avoidable if you are a team player.

If Mike Tomlin could not teach him then no one can.
Deja vu...Pickens excessive celebration penalty after a fantastic TD against the Raiders...like my dad used to say..."I buy them the books but they just don't read them"...Pickens is so talented...but he just can't control his emotions...

They're playing the same schedule as the Bills outside of two games and they beat the Bills already plus Tampa, both on the road, I'd hardly call either one of those two teams cupcakes.

Who in the AFC is Ohio State in your scenario, show your work.
The AFC stinks this year. That's the point but I would still take Buffalo, KC, Indy, or Denver over the Pats in the playoffs. The playoffs are a whole different deal than playing teams like the Saints, Titans, Falcons and Jets every week. The only quality win for the Pats is Tampa.

So you'd take the Bills over the Patriots after the Patriots beat them already in Buffalo?

And Indy with Daniel Jones as QB?

And Denver with 47 year old Nix as QB, they barely beat the Raiders, who blow, 10-7 at home, they have 5 wins by a margin of 3 points or less, it took a Festivus miracle for them to beat the Giants, but the Giants being the Giants blew a 20 point 4th quarter lead.
'
As far as the Chefs, it looks like the refs aren't in their back pockets anymore, they have no shot at winning the division and will be lucky to get into the playoffs as a WC, will have to win three games on the road to get back to the SB.

What the Patriots are doing this year is gravy, all I wanted was for their games not to put me to sleep like the past 3 years, it's fun to watch football again, they have THE coach and THE QB, which is what you need to win in this league, IMO they are a year or two away from being a serious SB threat, I'm just going to enjoy the rest of the season and see how things play out.

My suggestion is you worry about your Rams vs the Eagles, that looks like the NFCCG, which thanks to that blocked FG will be played in Philly at the end of January, so it will either be cold as balls or snowing, or both and we all know how well those west coast teams do in the cold, like that 70's footage of the Rams playing the Vikings in MN with snow on the ground and minus degree wind chill, the Rams looked like they were dressed for Stalingrad, they had no shot to win, would have been better off staying at the hotel.

But in the meantime; Rams fans are still dancing up a storm over that resounding win vs the Seachickens and Sam Darnold, I would have lost that bet "Is Sam Darnold still in the NFL?"...........

In the playoffs, I'll take the experience of the Bills and Chiefs over the Pats any day. The Bills are going to clobber them the next time they play. The Pats have the second softest schedule in the NFL. They haven't beat anyone except the bottom dwellers. They even lost to the hapless Raiders. When you finish at the bottom like the Pats have over the last several years, you get some great draft picks to improve your team. They are the TCU of the NFL. Their record is an illusion.

Like I said; they weren't expected to do much of anything this year, 9-8 would have been a success, which would have doubled their win total from the past two years combined, all fans wanted was for Maye to take the next step and progress as an NFL quarterback, no one was predicting playoffs, soft schedule or not, if you stink, you lose to soft teams because you in turn are a soft team, all you can do is play who's on your schedule.

They had an historic 19 year run, won the division 17 years out of that 19 year run, finished above 500 in the two years they did not win the division, did not make the playoffs due to a tiebreaker on the last day of the season both times, one season of which Brady was out the entire year and they still finished 10-6, 13 AFCCG's, 9 Super Bowls, 6 wins, no one will ever come close to that again in the NFL, you can't stay on top forever, they stunk for a year after Brady left, made the playoffs the following year, missed the playoffs on a tiebreaker the last day of the season the following year, then stunk for two years, but in that time, they got THE guy at QB along with several very good players.

And you're right; other than the Bills in Buffalo and the Bucs in Tampa, they haven't beaten anyone.

Holy smokes.

I still can’t believe Jamar Chase appealed his suspension for spitting in Jalen Ramsey’s face.

Years ago in Formula 1 racing you could appeal fines and grid spot loses for any infractions that a driver was accused of.

The one caveat was that the tribunal deciding the appeal could not just decrease a punishment but they could increase your punishment if you wasted their time by appealing something where the driver was obviously guilty.

The NFL needs to star doing that.

I find this incident thoroughly disgusting. I think Ramsey reacted like any normal human being would and getting thrown out of the game should be enough. Chase deservers far worse, not only fined, but should be suspended for multiple games, how else can you combat behavior like that?

After that performance last night, are you still taking Buffalo over New England?

Asking for a friend.

Josh Allen was running for his life all game long, the Texans front 4 is incredible.

The Rams are putting a beatdown on Tampa at halftime. With the Eagles choke loss, the Rams could be the top seed in the NFC. I can't believe the Ravens are leading in their division. The AFC is a shambles.

Why can't you believe it? Jackson got hurt and several key defensive players were out, now they are all back and they are playing the march of the tomato cans and putting a beat down on everyone, plus the Steelers were frauds, they are not winning that division, let alone even making the playoffs.

The AFC is not in "shambles"; the Broncos, Patriots and Colts are all legit teams, the Colts literally got screwed yesterday on a third and goal, the receiver was grabbed by the shoulder pads by the defender and pulled down, no penalty, Chefs miraculously won in OT, once again they have the refs in their back pockets.

The Ravens are rolling and the Texans defense is scary good.

In the NFC, the Eagles are not very good right now, can't believe the Bears are leading the NFC North, Tamps got rolled by the Patriots, Bills and Rams in that order, you've got two legit teams right now, you and the Seahawks, as long as your 47 year old QB holds out, you should make the Super Bowl vs either the Broncos, Ravens or Chefs.

None of those teams are cupcakes.

The Ravens have an extremely easy schedule which begs another question, how and why? Secondly, they stink too, they are not setting any world on fire, the Jets are just hapless or they beat the Ravens yesterday, had a lot of chances.

Steelers, I think it is harsh to call them frauds, however, it is not the offense IMO. That defense is stacked and costly on paper. They are UNDERPERFORMING, how do you field that many supposed best in class in position and give up 31 pts to the Bears and 31 to this one, and that one, etc. Personally, I blame the defense, Rogers and Rudolph have both played well enough to win.

I do have bias, but if the Ravens find their way deep in the playoffs or super bowl, then blame the other teams. There is teams that are much better on the field than this Ravens team. If they win, it is not them, it is another team screwing up IMO.

Teams end up with soft schedules due to how they rotate which divisions in their conference and in the other conference they play; for example, the Patriots got the NFC South, which is hot garbage, then the AFC North and South, the only variable is who you play interconference based on where you finish in your division, first place, second place, etc.

Looking at both schedules, I can see the Ravens running the table or finishing 11-6, Steelers I see as 9-8, 8-9, neither of which will get you to the playoffs, the way some other teams are playing, 10-7 might not do it if you don't win your division.

All true, and on another point, if the Ravens win it all this year, it should be good illustration of just how mediocre the product on the field really is!

The league is mediocre this year, no clear cut team to beat in either conference, although the Rams may have a case regarding the NFC, no clear frontrunner in the AFC, that's for sure.

If the Chefs keep getting gift calls like they did yesterday................

Honestly would take the Chiefs over the Ravens anyday. True superstars on offense and when they are humming, it is a good product to watch. I am just not a Lamar Jackson fan, I can't stand the "feelings of entitlement" and attitude of that team. They are just not likeable individuals other than Derek Henry. That would be a bright spot if they win in the fact that he is a hard working football player with relatively little trouble in any format.

The Chiefs annoy me to no end, nothing to do with Mahomes vs Brady or the number of rings, they just seem to have a horseshoe up their collective rear ends, as much as I can't stand the Eagles (nice game last night BTW, although to their credit, they did honor the teams that for the most part wore those throwbacks), I was so glad to see them demolish the Chiefs last year.

Sounds like the Rams are in your head George. The Rams are playing great football. The best in the league. Stafford is having an MVP season. The entire team has a swagger. Injuries can change that but I like what I'm seeing. Home field against Philly or Seattle in the playoffs would be a big deal. The Rams can beat those teams in LA. Playing in Philly in December or January is tough. If KC gets into the playoffs, watch out. They might run the AFC. Buffalo can do the same. No expectations for those teams means no monkey on their back. They are playing with house money.

Doug,
honestly your team is playing great football, I can see why they are fun to watch, it is a good product and they are playing to their level of expectations. Just wish the rest of the league would join in! IN all seriousness, I do think the Bills and Chiefs are still dangerous due to their talent, but so again as I said are the Steelers on paper. Right now, those 3 teams are not playing to their ability and I am having a hard time faulting the coaching. I think in these 3 cases, you have a lot of ego that thought they would just show up and win and they are not executing game plans or assignments. It is just bad fundamental football they are playing. It is allowing teams that are mediocre in talent and fundamentals to win games and really muck up the playoff race.

George - your Patriots are playing good fundamental football, that is why they are winning and if they continue to do so, they certainly have a good shot of a run too.
