N.F.L. 24-25 Season (2 Viewers)

Steelers o is struggling. Thought that was pass int. No calls are playing to Texans strength. They are an aggressive d. Steelers are getting turnovers but no scoring.

This game is pretty bad too.

Assuming Texans win, they will be cremated by Denver and Buffalo should handle NE.

Nice win by the Niners. No easy task winning in Philly. That was like two aging prize fighters beating each other senseless. Not throwing the ball to AJ Brown was a crime. There seems to be some type of personal animosity by the coaches toward Brown in Philly. You have to wonder how much the Niners have left in the tank and they get another physical team next week in Seattle. A couple years ago the Niners won tough playoff games on the road to set up a Rams-Niner NFC championship game in LA. Hoping for the same thing this year.
I would love to see a Rams-Niners conference championship game but there is no way SF can hold up their end of that.

3 of the 4 Niner starting linebackers on Sunday were not even on the team at Thanksgiving.

1 guy was signed from the practice squad, another was claimed from waivers and another was a free agent who hadn’t played for 5 weeks. Yet somehow they held the Eagles to 19 points.

This year SF has lost Purdy, Trent Williams. Bosa, Warner and now Kittle yet they have made it to the divisional round.

However, it is over.

Nope, it ain’t. I believe they can beat Seattle. Is it going to be easy? F no but top seeded teams do get knocked off.

The Houston D was unreal. I thought the Steelers had a chance to steal it at halftime but after that it was not pretty. A tough way for Rodgers and Tomlin to go out if that is the last game. Rodgers is a class act. I liked his post game comments about how social media has changed the way decision are made with everyone clamoring to fire Tomlin.

Have you watched any of Denver's games; their offense is offensive, it's their defense that has carried that team.

Buffalo lost Gabe Davis to a torn MCL, they are literally down to 2 receivers, plus Allen is all banged up, he took a beating in the Jacksonville game.

Not to mention you've got it backwards, Houston plays New England, Buffalo travels to Denver.

Rodgers goes out throwing a PIC 6 on his final pass...........ooof.

To me, he looks like a guy who checked out years ago, on one of his sacks, no one tackled him, he tripped and fell over one of his own linemen.

Tomlin should step down, or get fired, what's that now, 0-7 in their last 7 playoff games; great, 19 years without a losing season, but they are stuck in mediocrity.

Would be a riot of Harbaugh and Tomlin switched teams; what do the Steelers do now for a QB?

Bon Chance with that.

Down to the final 8, which includes the Patriots; not bad for team that played a bunch of tomato cans.

According to Vegas, Seattle and New England have the best odds to get to the Super Bowl, 49ers and Texans the worst.

Not sure about that, specifically New England, but time will tell.

Poor Rams; they get the 6:30 game in Chicago, it will be 90 degrees below zero by then, yet another West Coast team getting stuck playing in Stalingrad like conditions.

Tomlin out in Pittsburgh.
That means Rodgers is likely done as well. Can't image that goes over too well with the players, but they need a change. Tomlin is a great coach and decent guy. I do believe that even good coaches sometimes hit a wall, though. And both the team and coach need a reset to get back on track. That can mean a few painful years but sometimes it's the right thing to do. How funny would it be if Hardblow now ends up in Pittsburgh?

According to my family in Pittsburgh, Tomlin and Rodgers became a package deal if they won and went deep in the playoffs. When they didn't and you could see the ultimate frustration as the game wore on, the writing was on the wall. They couldn't score and while I think Houston has a great defense (I am actually a fan), something was just missing on offense.

Also as Doug pointed out, great coaches get stale. Eventually all of your good assistants become head coaches and the way of doing things stops working. I loved having Tomlin, I thought he was a no nonsense guy who truly loved coaching and loved the Steelers, he made it fun. Another era has come to an end, I have been a fortunate fan who was born during the wild 70s and saw Terry Bradshaw retire, then Cowher and the 80s, 90s, Big Ben, all good things eventually come to an end and a new beginning comes to fruition. Will take a few, but should be interesting nonetheless.

Yup, all of these coaches in all sports have a shelf life, they get hired to get fired, it happens to the best of them and the worst of them.

It comes with the territory.

Tomlin should have no trouble getting offers...19 seasons not one losing record...if not for a head coaching job...he would be a shoe in for broadcasting...

The NFL likes to do that: have teams play in the cold at night. The forecast on Sunday is between 10 and 20. Brutal. I will go with Chicago. SF is a long shot but why not.

I thought Texans would be playing Denver but I guess strength of schedule must have favored them over the Bills. I see NE winning this. I will take the Bills in the other one.

Sp the actual air temperature is forecast to be between 10 and 20? That's insane, then sprinkle in wind chill..................crazy to play that game at night.

They want the best game in prime time. No one is going to watch the Pats and Texans in an ugly 3-0 shootout. And how cold will it be in Beantown? The idea that LA teams are at a disadvantage in cold weather always makes me laugh. It's not like the Rams have more players from warm climates than any other NFL team. It's a random group from all over. The Bears QB played at USC. And even if the Rams lose this game, the consolation prize is they get to go home to 70 degrees while the locals return to their igloos.

As soon as the Texans won, I told my friend there is no way they will be on at night, if it was Steelers/Patriots, then yes.

Players on the Rams might be from all over, but they don't practice in cold weather day in and day out like teams in cold weather cities do.

The Rams lost to the Iggles last year in the playoffs, it was cold and snowing, they were doomed.

I’m sure that once it gets dark in Chicago it will get colder. I know the 85 Bears would have loved the weather, not sure about this crowd. I remember when they played the Giants that year, it was really cold and then when they played the Rams the next week, it was even colder.

Predictions for what they are worth:

A. Broncos - the Bills are very banged up, think it will be tough to win out in Denver, it has been done for sure, but smart money this year is on Denver
B. Patriots - I think this could be a toss up on paper, but...... New England at night which has been the graveyard of many AFC foes, just ask Big Ben, also CJ didn't look comfortable at all vs Steelers, looked very out of character and it didn't improve a whole lot, he has to do a 180. And may have some key scratches on Texans side.
C. Seahawks - I want the 49ers to win, just not sure they can do it in Seattle and without Kittle et al. Seems a tall order.
D. Rams - this is more of an emotional pick as I am not a Bears fan (I think the Coach should take a lesson in class from Tomlin, Harbaugh and others). My fear is the cold on the Rams and the odd way when the Bears are not put away early, they hang, hang and somehow win.

I have to admit, the playoffs have been way more entertaining then the entire season, maybe it is always that way but I just thought the regular weekly product was awful.

On another note, apparently the Ravens are conferring with Lamar Jackson after every interview and he will be part of the final interviews.........................................being an employer, on the face of this, not a good idea. I am not saying you bring in a coach who could have a known conflict with a player, but there needs to be clarity on who is in charge. It should be a hierarchy - Owner, General Manager, Coach, then players. Players are just that - employees. Not to be harsh, but the Ravens have their eggs in the wrong basket IMO. They have literally and figuratively and actually bet the house on Jackson, I am not sure the guy can win it all.
