Things that I really like (8 Viewers)

John Fetterman. I didn't vote for him and don't agree with all of his view but he has exercised amazing common sense and not just toed the party line. No easy task these days. Maybe every politician should have a stroke if this is the result.

Getting away from news Here is some good. Iron Maiden nominated for the rock hall again. I would think they have to get in this time. There is so much bad press on the rock hall for oversights lately. They literally are iconic to the point that their mascot Eddie is in toy stores worldwide. Hopefully the third time is a charm. Of course their original singer passed away last year so maybe the nitwits at rock hall feel guilty. They should have been in 20 years ago.
And while I am on the subject; how is Boston not in the Rock and Roll HOF? Their first album is literally a greatest hits album, beyond that, hit after hit after hit.

Shakira is nominated, Pink is nominated, but no Boston.

Shameful.

Beyond shameful, Boston's first album has to in the top 10 albums of all time.

The series "Neighbors" on HBO, each episode tells two stories of people who are at odds with their neighbor.

So far, three episodes............bottom line is there are a lot of unhinged people in this country, arguing over cats, a 4 foot wide strip of grass, a patch of sand on a beach, a road in the middle of nowhere and a lawn one claims the other ruined.

Unhinged to say the least; certifiably out of their minds is more like it.

The two 60 something women arguing over a 4 foot strip of grass and the Vietnam vet and the looney toons ex male stripper who is completely unhinged were both disturbing, I still don't know what the Vietnam vet did to piss off that ex stripper, but the more he talked, he is completely unhinged.

I kind of get the one guys point over the cat lady and her stray cats wandering all over the place, same with the two men who lived next to that moonbat who started a farm next to them, talk about no respect for other people, the lady arguing over a strip of sand seemed nuts, as did the survivalist arguing over a fence on a road.

Guaranteed at least three of them end up in someone shooting another person; yet ANOTHER example of why we don't need guns in this country, period, full stop.

My worst nightmare; ending up with any of those people as a neighbor.

Loved the one lady who said "If you don't like it, move"..............yeah, that seems reasonable.

Morons.

Again, rain forecast in Southwest Texas.
Maybe you like freezing fingers and toes but Texas weather would suit me now. I have my 3rd cold of the season.
I like how lush it is here. I like snow around Christmas. I like it that the bugs get killed by the cold.
Those are the main benefits. I say retire to Texas for taxes/lifestyle but, frankly, i feel every State is a good place to live.

Uncle Lee in The Bear. Old Bob Odenkirk knocks it out in his limited cameo. You really don't won't to throw a fork at him.

Lou Holtz. Sorry to hear of his passing. As a USC fan, you never wanted to play against him. A great football coach.

A big THANK YOU to the great state of Texas; Crockett, buh bye, I'm sure MSNBC will hire her.

I guess that Harris endorsement didn't put her over the top.
You know what is scary? Even though she lost she received over a million votes. I can see a few thousand idiots but a million? Sometimes I wish there was an intelligence test you must pass to vote. Please don't hold this against me but crockett & maxine waters are both from St Louis, sorry folks but at least they moved. But back to crockett. At least when she speaks ghetto I can understand what she is saying having worked for years in North St louis. You'all know I ain't trippin, just fitten to carry myself back to my crib and get real.

I respect your opinion and I hope you are feeling better after your latest cold.

With that being said I have been sick in the middle of the summer in Texas. There is nothing worse than running a 101+ degree temperature while it is 105 degrees outside.

Beyond that, the brutal summers are insufferable for our dogs. They can “weather” the winter via fur coats but those same coats haunt them in the summer.

Most of all, I prefer the weather at our home in Northern California.

"...a lawn one claims the other ruined." That's what caused the guy to tackle Senator Rand Paul off of his riding mower. And didn't get much of a penalty in court.

Rand Paul, who voted against further funding of the war in Iran.

Thanks for the kind words. I respect everyone's opinion, especially about the weather.
The heat is tough on dogs. But it sounds like you have an ideal situation: no income tax and nice winters and you can always escape the heat if it gets too crazy.
Best Wishes
Paddy
