As the partial government shutdown enters day 40, airports across the United States are facing hourslong lines with wait times that are now the longest in TSA history. The acting TSA administrator says many officers are struggling to support their families. “Some are sleeping in their cars, selling their blood and plasma and taking on second jobs to make ends meet,” she said. I saw that; what an assclown, guess he never read the constitution................so once he arrests an ICE agent, he goes right to prison then huh?

The Democrats keep voting no to funding, so blame them.

It's mind boggling, like they are purposely trashing the country between this and their continued stance on illegals.

The illegals stance I get; how else are they going to get future Democrats to vote for them?
 
Was told USPS will be adding a gas surcharge to packages very soon; so now FED EX, UPS and DHL will raise their rates too now.

Great.

Oh and I'm sure once gas prices come back down when the war is over in 5 years, the surcharge/price increases will go away, just like they did once COVID was over.............:(.

Both Democrats and many REPUBLICANS are voting no...

they mostly want no masks...body cameras...special name tags with the officers last name...and a special badge with an ID number...

just like every policeman in the USA have...

those are the big issues...I don't think that is too much to ask...not such a big demand...

some minor issues also...no entering private property without a warrant...no entering schools...churches and medical facilities...no racial profiling...do you think that's really too much to ask?

it won't pass because of that...doesn't seem like much of an issue to me...I find that mind boggling...the polls agree with me...

Beginning April 26...til at least Jan 2027...there is an 8% surcharge on packages and stamps also are going to $.78 cents...

but as you know...once prices increase...they almost never go down...

USPS is broke...and probably the increase has to do mostly with the war gas prices...

but also that USPS always loses money...and America runs on shipping...

gas prices effect everything that is delivered to Boston stores...including your personal mail...

Do you know as a small business what an 8% surcharge is going to do to my costs?

Based on what I "ate" in postage due to free shipping, 8% is another 5 grand in costs that I'll have to take on the chin.

Between ongoing tariffs and rising shipping rates, I'm really starting to wonder how much longer I'll have skin in this game.

Well okay...your prerogative...your dad was a policeman...like it or not...he probably followed the same rules...having warrants have been around for a long time...part of jurisprudence...

What shipping charges on my website; everyone gets "free" shipping, haven't you heard?

On Ebay, I can't go in and edit close to 2,000 listings, I'll just have to take the gaspipe............I had a really old listing sell the other day, a 10.00 box of plastic figures, the listing was so old, shipping was 5.00/what it was when I listed it, shipping cost me twice that; factor in the fees Ebay gets, the extra 5.00 in shipping and my wholesale cost on that set and I lost money on the sale.

I love ya man, but I have to disagree with you, this is just the Democrats stonewalling to prevent ICE from doing their job; tell that to the family of the 18 year old college student shot in the head in Chicago along the lakefront by an illegal...............an illegal President Pantload and VP boozebag let into the country. Is Governor fatso going to lay flowers at her memorial like he did for that woman in MN who got shot by ICE, asking for a friend.

Then throw in some politician in IL who said the girl was "in the wrong place at the wrong time, maybe she startled the person and he shot her"...............I CANNOT BELIEVE that woman actually said that, it sickens and disgusts me, talk about blaming the victim.

How many more people will die at the hands of an illegal?

Saw this exchange on FB the other day; at least it made me laugh;

"It takes a month for the expensive oil to get here but the prices go up immediately and take several months for prices to go down. Oil companies are robbing us blind. Why are our politicians doing nothing to control this; oh wait, the politicians are too busy cashing the checks sent to them by the oil companies. Who really owns the knives in our backs?"

Followed by;

"Don't blame the oil companies, blame the stock traders who overreact to the slightest bit of bad news, someone farts and the stock market tanks, the whole thing is a racket and a complete joke."

I love you to...lol...and respect your opinion...but I can throw in names like Good...Martinez...Pretti...goes both ways...things have to be done by the book...can't understand why they can't bend to the same rules our local police do...I don't think that's too much...lots of Republican congressmen feel the same way...

I've been a full time retailer for about 30 years; needless to say, I'm closer to the end than the beginning and have been very smart with my money, if my Aunt's estate in Greece EVER gets settled (going on two years thanks to two of my moron cousins who question EVERYTHING and have caused delay after delay), that will be even more dough for me, extremely grateful she had the kindness in her heart to have myself, my sister and three of my cousins as her heirs....................so I want for nothing and don't lie awake at night worrying about where all this is going, as I told my accountant last week when he handed me my taxes and my bill, I'm literally taking this year by year at this point.

Needless to say, tariffs and skyrocketing shipping costs are really becoming a problem.
