:( Another U.S. Sherman and More U.S.Troops? We Really was hoping to get a BRITISH Sherman for the EA Sets; and MORE BRITISH Soldiers, for the EA Sets? The GERMAN MKI is OK? But the 88 Flak Gun Mounted on Halftrack, is a ? It should have been SDKFZ-7 Flakerving, Mounted, on on Rear Platform? Well, Now I could catch up with the Previous WW2 Sets, and save some Money for Possible Future Dispatches!

Into each life, a little rain must fall :D

John,

Apparently EA is not yet, in a couple of months hopefully. I don't have any inside information but I'm sure you won't be disappointed (I think :D)

I really don't Rob but have we ever been disappointed by any EA release? I think not (although some didn't like the Vickers).

We do know that some good things are coming out. There was noli-poli's pictures from some thread awhile ago and Praetorian saying one of those would be made and then Steven's post from the West Coaster that Andy would be looking at a sculp for a tank. Hints have been dropped. Then we will get the Horch at some point so it should be really good.

Yes i think you are right Brad,i have a feeling this year is going to be a great one for NA,WW2 and all K&C collectors!.Sounds like a Dickens quote doesn't it.Gord bless evry one of us!!!:D

John G - see my post on that US Sherman. Very close to an Eighth Army M4A1. If Andy doesn't release one, send me a check and I'll repaint as many as you want!

"Into each life alittle rain must fall"

And in Johns case, it is a monsoon....................

i was dissapointed alittle too. i was hoping for more crusaders. i will have to say that german halftrack 88 was pretty cool. five soldiers come with it? wow!!!

:) I was thinking about Painting the NEW M4A1 Sherman , myself for the British 8th Army Version! I hope to show you Guy's my R/C 1/30th Scale Shermans , that I have bough from HG! I've painted 2-Tanks for the Arnhem British 30th Corps, and 2-Shermans British, for the 8th Army N. Africa; and Added Side -Skirts, and All the Gear that they Carried in WW2! Theyl look GREAT! Time is of Essence !

Well I am glad not too much really interested me, now I can still play catch up with other sets:)

The Big Red One sets are great, the tracked 88 is nice but I will pass on it;)

Very disappointed was hoping for some crusaders or maybe a new line. Oh well good thing about dispatches is you only have to wait 30 days till the next ones.

FOV have already issued a nice four barreled 2 cm Flakvierling on a 8 ton halftrack and I'm sure K & C would have copped some flak :D if it 'copied' that idea.

The K & C version is based on Germany's huge 18 ton halftrack (Sd Kfz 9) and weighed 25 tons with the 88 mm AA gun mounted.

Many forum members have been after a German biggie such as this and even if it had limited combat service it did actually exist and I'll certainly get one - mad if you don't imo ;) :D

#1 I am NEVER disapointed in the monthly dispatches because I can see the good in ALL the products even if I don't collect them. I know someone elses prayers have been answered, look outside yourself.(also, I can use the breathing room)

#2 The joy of collecting is most intense in the anticipation and the chase, the possession never can reach as high as that moment of success.

And so the chase goes on TALLY HOOOO!!!!! :D:D:D

I got that recently for my dad so he could rip the Flak off to use in building his HO scale armored train. The halftrack is a beautifully done piece but good luck trying to unscrew it out of the blasted packaging base without breaking something.

CS, I have to ask why he'd use a 1/32 scale flak gun with 1/87 HO gear

Hehe - 'cause it looks cool. Actually, sorry his train is ON-30 scale - it's like 1:45 scale but it still runs on the tracks of his HO layout.

Fair enough. I guess you scored a train set or two as a kid, my old man reckoned they were a waste of money and I never got one for Christmas :(

Ha! Actually, I was the one who got my dad (re)interested in trains when I was a kid. I gave him an HO model train set one Christmas (that my mom paid for I think) and I've lived to regret it ever since. :D The only train set I ever recieved for Christmas was a Lego one. Personally I could never fully grasp the obsession that some have with trains, but I'm sure they would say the same about us and toy soldies. And I'm sure there are people here like my dad who collect both! Of course, I'm largely responsible for getting him (re)interested in this hobby too - he had an old Britains "18 inch" howitzer (no such thing actually existed in real life), and wanted to get some glossy crew for it, which with my help quickly balooned into a WW1 Canadian Vimy Ridge artillery diorama.

I have had a few of the Britains 18" guns pass through my hands over the years and from memory I think the model was a based on a 8" weapon, or at least it looked very similar to one. I still have a boxed Britains 155 mm Long Tom but will most likely sell it for more of the new stuff. I also have the later Britains Long Tom which is made from resin and comes with a terrific gun crew.
