How does the scale of Corgi warbirds fit in with K&C figures (too small/large?)
Any photos for comparison?

Yes they do, I have gotten many of my diecast fighters from Dave. He is a great guy, was an airline pilot when last we talked. Very enthusiastic collector as well. I did not see any of those 1/32 Corgis sought in this thread there though. How about some British shops, they seem to get more Spitfires then the US? No online ones that I have found though.

I am still looking for the Kiwi Spitfire but in the meantime I found a Park Hurricane that I could not resist. It has shown up a few times now on Ebay and I finally pulled the plug. It is a beautiful model and makes me again angry at Conte for cancelling this line.Well - what is everybody else looking for in the Warbird World?

The Tricatus Unofficial Corgi Aviation web site mentioned earlier (in this thread I think) is a wonderful resource but I wonder about the scarity indexes posted there. For example, the Kiwi Spitfire is listed with a scarcity of 4.16 http://www.tricatus.co.uk/AA33904.htm
while the Park Hurricane is listed at 4.74
http://www.tricatus.co.uk/aa35502.htm. I haven't seen a single Kiwi Spit listed for the last few months, with the exception of one very highly priced in England, but I have seen at least five Park Hurricanes listed at below retail. Similarly odd is the listing of the Sea Hurricane Mk.IB at 4.74 while it is still available at several web shops in the US and the Lane Spitfire at only 2.16, which seems to be rarely available and certainly less so than the Sea Hurricane.

I still think this forum needs a dedicated Warbird forum.![]()
I hope HM gets to the Spitfire Mk IX soon.Yes Corgi discontinued the 1:32 line
Hobby Master has now taken up the 1:32 torch
You'll find all of Corgi's Spits hard to find, the Hurricane's are still around but the last one AA35508 is the best and rarest. Its part of the Battle of Britan Memorial Flight Series ( BBMF ). They should be all sold out by now? I may still be able to find some if there not, I have a sourceThey cost more than the regular Hurricane's, though. I'll never part with mine

I hope HM gets to the Spitfire Mk IX soon.Congratulations vandilay on your DB Spitfire, I am still searching for a Kiwi, I almost had that one but that is a bit pricey for me

Yes you were and I only have myself to blame for missing those earlier. Where did you get the HM Dauntless and how much are we talking? I seems like the new ones are sold out on pre-order already although I seem one version is still open at about $152 or so.Yeh I was lucky when I got all the Spitfire's.
I started collecting HM's 1:32 now, but what worries me is the metal content is not there, when compared to Corgi. HM has some better details, but the prices on them are up there for what you get, less metal, more plastic.
I guess like everything else these days, zink is really pricey now
